  1. - 2nd - 1st Chile with the quota. United States still with no men's 10m air pistol
  2. - 3rd v for the quota. Chile with a huge lead though.
  3. - 5th remain for the quota battle (+ for the overall title)
  4. Nations eligible for the men's 10m air pistol quota. already has the quota.
  5. I'm impressed Oceania was able to make every single event eligible for a quota. Australia did need to enlist some help from refugees in the women's -49kg though.
  6. That's what I mean, athletes/nations can apply for an exception which included travel bans. North Korea effectively banned their athletes from traveling until the Asian Games so they could argue that they should be given an exception. The IWF may not accept it since the rule was in place in cases where the host nation prevented a traveling nation from entering rather than a self-imposed restriction.
  7. Does anyone know if got a travel restriction exception and thus could compete at the Olympics? Seems weird that they are sending a big team if they aren't going to compete at the Olympics?
  8. Like many nations, Canada won't use all of its relay-only quotas. I also doubt we would go that far down our depth in the men's 4x100m free relay to select Calkins and Sauve. It'll be top 4-6 for the free relays and top 1-2 for the medley relays.
  9. Yeah, the only comparisons would be in archery and dressage/jumping equestrian.
  10. I think you've made it quite clear that if you take part in a pro-war rally you aren't going to be excluded from the Olympics
  11. I imagine the United States will clean up many of their missing quotas. The good news is that they aren't eligible for the women's rifle 3 position, air rifle and air pistol events so at least other nations will win too.
  12. Unfortunately we lost in all three finals. didn't participate though.
  13. Looks like Angella Okutoyi is going to try and get that top 400 ranking. She's registered for 6 tournaments in April/May.
  14. There's a few more marathons in China so they'll have a couple more opportunities.
  15. I forgot Kuwait already got a quota. I was thinking men's sabre for them. There's no participation requirements for tripartite athletes in fencing. In other sports, I've seen nations which did not participate at all get tripartite quotas.
  16. I would be surprised if more than four quotas went to tripartite nations. Off the top of my head I can think of as possible candidates.
  17. No, Africa lost the quota because they didn't meet the minimum standard (more than 2 nations competing or a boat finishing in the top 90% at the world championships).
  18. Algeria never got the quota, only one nation competed and they did not meet the minimum requirement at the 2023 World Championships.
  19. But yeah, if I had full control (and an extra 1000-1500 athlete quotas) fencing would be bumped up to 12 teams and individuals would have 48 fencers.
  20. Yeah, Canada's team chances right now pretty much rely on the United States to rank in the top 4 and then make sure we finish in the top 16. The exception of course is women's team foil, but that will likely regress back to the mean once this generation retires.
