  2. GOLF Quota Places are allocated to the NOCs Athletes WOMEN'S EVENTS Quotas Allocated through Rankings Total Quotas Individual Stroke Play 59 60 MEN'S EVENTS Quotas Allocated through Rankings Total Quotas Individual Stroke Play 59 60 Women's Rankings open on Women's Rankings close on June 20th, 2022 June 24th, 2024 Men's Rankings open on Men's Rankings close on June 13th, 2022 June 17th, 2024 Qualification Pathway Quota places are allocated to the athlete(s) by name. The women’s and men’s competitions will each be comprised of exactly 60 athletes, 59 of them qualified through the Olympic Golf Ranking (OGR). The OGR is calculated as follows: each tournament earns a strength of field rating which determines how many ranking points will be awarded to top finishers. Points are awarded to athletes based on their finish positions in each event, with performances in stronger-field events earning more points in accordance with a points distribution schedule approved by the IGF. Ranking points for each player accumulate over a two-year “rolling” period with the points awarded in the most recent 13-week period weighted at 100% of their original value. After the initial 13-week period, the points are devalued by 1.1% for each of the next 91 weeks before they drop entirely off the athlete’s two-year record. Each athlete is then ranked according to his/her average number of points over the applicable two-year period, which is determined by dividing the total number of ranking points she/he has earned by the number of tournaments in which she/he has played during that period. There is a minimum divisor of 35 events for the women’s OGR over a two-year period. Whilst for the men’s OGR, there is a minimum divisor of 40 events and a maximum divisor of 52 events played over the rolling two-year period. OGR points to qualify for the Olympic Games, which are used to calculate the athlete’s average number of points and the athlete’s position on the OGR, can be earned during the two-year period ending with the Olympic Golf Ranking as of Monday 17 June 2024 for the men’s OGR and Monday 24 June 2024 for the women’s OGR. In the event of ties at any of the 60 starting positions, the ties will be broken by the following criteria, in order: Total Official World Golf Ranking points earned in the most recent 52-week period, ending with the OGR as of Monday 17 June 2024 for the men and Monday 24 June 2024 for the women. Total Official World Golf Ranking points earned in the most recent 13-week period, ending with the OGR as of Monday 17 June 2024 for the men and Monday 24 June 2024 for the women. Athletes will first be selected by name within the highest (top)-15 on the OGR as of 17 June 2024 for men and 24 June 2024 for women (following the conclusion of all eligible OGR events in the week immediately preceding), with no more than four (4) athletes per NOC. Athletes will then be selected by name in order from 16th place onwards on the OGR as of 17 June 2024 for men and 24 June 2024 for women (following the conclusion of all eligible OGR events in the week immediately preceding), up to a maximum of two (2) athletes per NOC, including those athletes within the highest (top)-15, until the number of 59 athletes is reached, including continental places. Each of the five (5) continents of the Olympic Movement will be guaranteed at least one (1) athlete in each of the women’s and men’s competitions respectively, if not automatically qualified in accordance with the above (continental places). The continental places will be allocated to the highest ranked athlete(s) on the OGR from the continent(s) without representation. In all cases above, respecting the maximum number of athletes per NOC: maximum 4 athletes per event as long as said athletes are ranked within Olympic Golf Ranking (OGR) top-15. 4. Criando um tópico exclusivo para essa competição.
  5. Talvez hahah Eu to meio por fora da Ginástica, então to esperando pra ver os resultados desse mundial. Só espero q o Brasil consiga classificar a equipe feminina
  6. Actually this competition is not following any procedure similar to other sports' Worlds Championships. There is no limit of athletes per country, for instance I am not sure, but I think that the seeds come from the performance on the previous stage
  7. Brasil muito perto de uma conquista inédita no Volei! Torcendo para que seja um jogo fácil contra a Sérvia
  8. Changes for wrestling. Not sure what really was changed here. @JoshMartini007@Sindo
  9. This quota for will be great for their intern competition, and also it is going to make a mess for the next extra quota. I believe will be the favorite, but as we saw here, many countries got close to it. as for we wasted a big chance to already conquer this third spot. Unfortunately neither Medina and Ítalo were available for the competition, and Toledo was probably drunked these days, or with a huge hangover. Anyway, it's not certain that Brazil will make it, and a few other countries will come starving to get it.
  10. Curiosity, Japan was the only country that had to change their surfers due to results in last qualifier stage to Tokyo. I believe that Shun Murakami should be very happy with this extra quota.
  11. Looks is going to take this quota at men's side. Brazil has added 1450 points with its three surfers.
  12. Kolohe went down to repechage round. The next heats in Repechage might define the quota at men's side
  13. Do you have source ?
  14. The weirdest part for me is: add or cut events for a event like that, during the qualification process. Breaking, for instance, wouldnt tske part on it, and suddenly it is in, and also the event will be used as qualifier to the Olympics. They should have established exactly all the events a long time ago
  15. Seems that big changes are coming for Boxing @Sindo @JoshMartini007 @Benolympique
  16. We got medals in basque pelota and bowling in last Panamerican Games, not too bad

  18. Wouldn't those tripartite go under some changes for Paris? I remember seeing some speculation about that Anyway, thanks for your research
  19. O mundial de vôlei começou hj, e achava q o Brasil ia passar vergonha... na vdd ate passou, com esse 3 a 2 contra Cuba. Acho q Japão e Qatar não serão problema, mas passar das oitavas vai ser difícil desse jeito.
  20. Maybe it can influence in the teams choosen to participate at each continental event. Not sure about that, but it wouldn't be a huge influence in terms of the potential qualified teams. Once the ranking will be used only for HSBC Sevens Series, and the final tournament will participate teams not yet qualified from continental tournaments.
  21. Favorites for Olympic quotas?
