    I always remember Pittin from the Torino Olympics. At that time, the NC Ski Jump was the very first event of the Games after the Friday night opener.     I believe this was standard practice in many sports back in the old Советский Союз days. The idea seemingly was that women would somehow recalibrate their pain thresholds after giving birth.

    Don’t know about him specifically, there are lots of American-based Brits in various sports at the moment. Usually it’s American-born people with one British parent who have been through or are still in the NCAA system and who are eligible for some kind of subsidy or help from the lottery-funded British system.

    Have to say I’m a bit skeptical about this whole Levi reindeer thing. Not quite convinced that the reindeers won in previous years are not being made into burgers, hats & knife handles.

    Dearie me, this women’s bronze medal match just shows what it’s like to lose in a semi-final. Both teams were excellent all week, now they are playing like schoolkids.
