  1. That was an incredible pass from Svahn on the last turn.
  2. Actually it is not too bad, better than the cross-country running race courses they’ve had there. Luckily also, it is real Jacques Brel weather. De zee is grijze, de wind is stomme. Plus they are taking full advantage of the single 5m high hill that exists in the whole greater Ostend area.
  3. Strange things happening every day: Theresa Johaug is struggling a bit. Also, a plague of frogs in Falun. Back into the lead, but is surely going to get scalped on the sprint finish.
  4. Jeez, I notice the Estonians now have twin sisters (I presume; for all I know they could be completely unrelated) Keidy & Kaidy Kaasiku on the Women’s Tour.
  5. That meet is being streamed btw. Live all day & English commentary! https://streamster.tv/event/leichtathletik/indoor-track-field-vienna-2021/
  6. This is why these guys are not on the World Cup. Top 10 come in for shot 4, all miss, most miss 2 or more!
  7. Zuk shoots clear, takes lead! Pray she can hold on. Nilsson 0122
  8. Stina Nilsson up from the 40s to 18th after a clear shoot. Gah, misses shot 10.
  9. Horrible crash for the Romanians: they walk away, luckily,
  10. DAS 7.08 WL, will surely do better this season!
  11. Gee, all of the good ones are taken - Mišmaš is married now.
  12. Thing is, I not sure how Chinese they are...they mostly seem to have Mongolian names.
  13. Couldn’t be more flat if they’d pushed 100 snooker tables together.
  14. UNESCO City of Media Arts, my arse! Dina Asher-Smith 7.11nWL, that will do Oi, Martinot-Lagard pulls up injured. Very efficient work with the plasticine boards there! German craftsmanship at its best.
  15. It’s not at the bloody horse-racing stadium is it?
  16. Had forgotten that Falun has some of the greatest mascots in world sports - the trio of dancing houses advertising a local building firm, I think.
  17. Ah yes, the beautiful unspoilt old-world resort town of Ostend. Kind of like Benidorm, if Benidorm was cold & windy. Live on the BBC streaming for us Brits.
  18. So it seems in German the more verbs you have at the end of the sentence, the more forbidden it is, then?
  19. But that’s the point! Every time you throw indoors you have an equal chance of getting a big throw: not so much outdoors. All athletes train to peak for maybe 2-3 weeks a season, so if it’s wet at your WC or Olympics, that’s probably 50% of your chance to get a record that year gone.
  20. Yeah, but the athletes are very much influenced by rain.
  21. More details of international coverage. https://www.worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-indoor-tour/news/how-to-watch-world-athletics-indoor-tour-meet
  22. Good news for us Brits - the BBC are showing all five legs of the World Indoor Tour. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/55831748
  23. Karlsruhe Preview for Friday - looks jam-packed with quality. https://www.worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-indoor-tour/news/world-indoor-tour-karlsruhe-2021-asher-smith Believe is is going to be on YouTube but no link yet. https://www.youtube.com/c/WorldAthletics/videos
  24. Looks like that’s been cancelled - it’s now pointed to Saturday as Day 1 for broadcasting. So just the Saturday pursuits & relays on Sunday.
