This weekend sees the official Final Event of the 2021 Triathlon World Championship Series in Edmonton, . This is not the final TWCS event of the calendar year 2021, but the three postponed events from the early summer - Abu Dhabi, Hamburg, Bermuda - will now count towards the 2022 Champs. In the men's event, it's billed as a replay of the Olympic Final between Alex Yee & Kristian Blummenfelt, although many other combinations are mathematically possible. In the women's, it is Flora Duffy versus & the year's new discovery, Maya Kingma . There are also U-23 races, which will be a one-off World Championship after the last two seasons were lost.
