  1. Who was saying there are not Qataris here?
  2. Both know it's their only chance of a track medal, so they concentrate on it.
  3. No surprise: they never practise!!! Hmm, seems not!
  4. Kilty is a real relay specialist though - just having lots of fast guys does not work, as the USA just proved.
  5. Horrible race from the USA. All big egos as usual.
  6. Did he remember to snap them out of it?
  7. Lucky losers, though, if you have a lane you have a chance.
  8. France DQF! Australia unable to deal with gravity! A race to safe on my video for Christmas!
  9. And won't till 3000 unless they can learn to stand on their feet in the Northern hemisphere.
  10. His brother is Mitchell Starc, plays cricket for Australia.
  11. That was the 80s. I go back to the early 1970s when there were lots of great Scottish distance runners.

  16. I love ‘em all - Parmesan, Gouda, Stilto.... ....wait, what....the CHESS discussion thread?
  17. We will not get much in the 4x400m, but 4x100 is always possible for us. We won Gold in Athens even though we did not have a single finalist. Other people have done the same.
  18. She had to change it because otherwise it would not fit on the light show.
  19. Both are actually within reach, she is usually a good 800m runner. World record would be outside Carsten Semenya territory, though.
  20. It used to be very common back in the days when athletics was still amateur for US sprinters to go to one Olympics,, get medals, and then go into the NFL and leave athletics for ever. Relando Nehemiah did it when he was WR Holder in the 110h, then went back to athletics after four-five years in the NFL. Well, not so much the women.
  21. Still a student, I think. Or he was a few months ago.
  22. As predicted, no official result yet for Heat 2.
