Qualification Tracker

Test

  1. Thank you for the reply. I think both things you suggested are great thoughts. The calendar with links looks great. As for the addition in the Qualification by Sport page, I like the thought of being able to track over time who has held the title, and being able to navigate between sports easily.
  2. led for a lot of the game...heartbreaker for them for sure!
  3. Truls dominated! Was rooting for Gauzy, but wasn't to be. Then what it must be like for Wang Manyu and Sun Yingsha to play together in the WD finals and then compete against each other tomorrow in the WS finals.
  4. Thank you for the reply. I think this page would be interesting for someone (like myself) who is interested in exploring different sports and seeing who are current world champions for that sport/discipline. Or, for instance, suppose I click on the USA to see we won the bronze medal in a certain event, but I want to know who won the other medals. I would either need to click through the other NOCs, or find the event or discussion thread in the appropriate forum. One other functionality improvement would be adding links in a couple of places. One would be in the scenario above, where in exploring by NOC, you could click 'Men's Singles' or whatever event, and it takes you either to the Event page, or to the Discussion thread for that event, or to this new hypothetical medallist-by-event page (which could then link to the Event/Discussion). The other place for a link would be on the World Championship calendar page itself, where a user could see an upcoming/previous WCH and easily click to find more information (going to the Event page or straight to the Discussion thread, if available). To the extent that I could help with this, I would be glad to. I have found all of the information on this website insightful and informational, and would be glad to contribute to the community.
  5. I'm new to these forums...so glad to have found it. @Sindo the medal tracker is so great. I know a lot of time goes into it...thanks for that. Is there anywhere to see, for instance, the world championships organized by sport and not by nation? Like, a page with a list of the 300ish events, along with which nation most recently won the medals in the WCH?
  6. Thanks! I see there are some things not there, like shooting and archery, but there are many other things there.
  7. Ah yes, correct. I had completely skipped the semis. Updated. Thanks.
  8. I'm able to watch live sports at panamsportschannel.org, but are replays anywhere? (I'm in the US, if that matters.) Edit: I just found their YouTube channel with some replays. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt1SEUBnjt85FoKFfruRlkZE4PzWPA3qu
  9. I agree with both and have made the changes. I don't know about Day 7 and 8 football matches. There's 4 per day. Some sort of play-in for both? Or one more round for W?
  10. Hello, I used the session calendar along with several of your comments + schedules from previous Olympics to put together this daily calendar, which includes my best guess as to what events will be happening each day, in order each day. Now those of you who want to plan out the countless hours of TV you'll be watching in three years can do so. :D All times are in LA Local Time (GMT-7). Access it here. If you see any potential mistakes, please let me know. I am not positive on the Equestrian schedule. I hope you find it useful!
  11. In the Olympics for artistic swimming, it's the sum total of free+technical+acrobatic for team, and for duet it's the free+technical. But now as I look, for instance, there are often different pairs for the two routines, or maybe one country doesn't even compete in one. Austria, for instance, won gold in technical duet, but didn't compete in free. Spain used two athletes in one, but two others in the other. So perhaps hard to tell. But if you simply went by NOC, it would be Russia (or, Neutral) Gold, China Silver, Spain Bronze for duet. Team - China Gold, Spain Silver, Italy Bronze.
  12. I know Aquatics just had their WCH. Any others? Edit: Also 3x3, BMX Racing, Fencing Source: https://www.olympics.com/en/news/sports-highlights-calendar-2025-world-championships-dates
  13. I'm curious how the American viewers will take to watching flag football. We're used to our own tackle version of this. So, even if NFL players are there, we might still be kinda 'meh' about it. The last time we even thought about flag football was when we were in school at like age 12. (Are there similar sentiments for those of you in countries where rugby is popular, when you watch rugby sevens?)
  14. For reference, using the schedule as it is listed now: Gold medal match currently listed at 09:00-12:00 LA Time, which is 21:30-00:30 India time. Bronze medal match currently listed at 18:30-22:00 LA Time, which is 07:00-10:30 India time. (Time is the same for both Men's and Women's...just one is Day 6 and the other is Day 15.) Edit: And just for kicks, the Gold would be 16:00-19:00 in London, the Bronze at 01:30-05:00. So, it's a plausible argument.
  15. Misprint in the cricket by-session calendar? Currently it has the gold medal match first, then the bronze medal. Or is that typical?
  16. Sport Climbing Probable Schedule (Bold indicating Medals): Day 10 (Mon, 24/jul) 09:30-11:40 Men's or Women's Boulder Qualis 13:45-15:25 Speed Qualis Day 11 (Tue, 25/jul) 09:15-11:25 Men's or Women's Boulder Qualis 18:45-20:00 Men's or Women's Lead Qualis Day 12 (Wed, 26/jul) 09:00-10:30 M/W Speed Finals 18:45-20:00 Men's or Women's Lead Qualis Day 13 (Thurs, 27/jul) 09:00-10:55 Men's or Women's Boulder Finals Day 14 (Fri, 28/jul) 09:00-10:55 Men's or Women's Boulder Finals 13:45-15:00 Men's or Women's Lead Finals Day 15 (Sat, 29/jul) 09:30-10:45 Men's or Women's Lead Finals (Source: Just me trying to figure it out, based on how long the comps normally last, and given the by-session calendar by LA28.) Edit: I would also add that in Boulder and Lead, they'd probably follow the same order (e.g. Men, then Women...that would prevent anyone doing both disciplines from having to do two finals on Friday, as it would be one sex in the morning in one discipline, the other sex in the afternoon in the other discipline.)
