  2. This will be a rival for Italy in the 1/2.
  3. We already have Rychlicki, so it would take too long :P I think Plotnyski will return once he sees that Ukraine has great potential and he's too good to pass up. Maradona also caused a lot of trouble, but he always came back, because it was beneficial for both sides. It's similar here. Yanchuk and Plotnyski will be a huge force on the wings. Is there a possibility that he will return to the World Champ?
  4. Only 2 people from Italy signed it list in this 1 is Samele, who is in a relationship with Kharlan. A bit sad. I also don`t see names from countries such as Japan, China, Korea, Iran, etc., and now it`s Asia + Russia that has the most to influence in fencing which is visible in the way of referee. Europe no longer dominates as it once did.
  5. If Plotnyski returns Ukraine will be a strong opponent for anyone. I haven't been happy with Italy's performance since last year – we didn't win a single medal last year. If it's similar this year, it means de Giorgi should leave. But we'll see, maybe peak of the form will be for the Nations League finals and World Championship. So far we looks very weak, although our squad is the best it can be+ Rychlicki joined this year.
  6. For me he's a Hungarian Berlusconi, only Hungary is smaller and it's easier to have a media monopoly. Thanks to his private media, Berlusconi stayed in politics for over 20 years, despite being inept and the economy collapsing during that time.
  7. Politicians like Orban and Fico simply don`t help their countries and perhaps because Orban has been in power for a very long time, the effect is worse.
  8. Of all its neighbors, Poland was probably the one who helped the most: they provided not only aid, but also their weapons + they accepted millions of refugees.
  9. Ma continuo a non capire perché Silipo non abbia voluto continuare con il gruppo di Parigi 2024, che era piuttosto giovane e competitivo (a parte Banchelli, che ha finito la sua carriera).
  10. After 2006 we failed and almost none of the facilities are in use now. In summer, of course, there's more talk about summer sports and in winter, about winter sports, with the exception of football and more recently, tennis, which are always in the media. In winter the most attention is on alpine skiing, especially about Soffia Goggia and Federica Brignone (thanks to their huge successes). Other sports are largely absent from the media, except for major events like the Olympics.
  12. He's third in the all-time scoring players for the Italian national team with 54 goals, behind Vignotto and Morace – both of whom have almost 100 goals, so there's no chance of overtaking them. It's also difficult to compare the current era with 30- 40 years ago, when this sport was completely amateur and scoring goals was easier.
  13. Italy- Norway 2-1!!! First semifinal for Italy from 1997!
  14. Two silver for Italy in Olympic events. A good result, but gold was out of reach. Now we'll see some non-Olympic events. We'll see if Paltrinieri competes everywhere. These conditions seem to be favorable for Italy, as the all the team is competing well.
  15. China has hired a great coach from Spain: Miki Oca. They'll definitely get stronger, but maybe not yet and we will win. They certainly have many physically strong girls at home and if they invest more in this sport, they could replicate the successes of Beijing 2008 times. Italy doesn't seem to have a plan for women waterpolo. We're stagnant. There's no way to attract high, strong girls to this sport. By the way, why isn't Canada playing?
  16. Beating China would be a success for me. We're the only top country outside the USA with so many rookies in our squad. For me, it's a mistake, because the squad from Paris wasn't old, and our team's problems are structural (players too weak physically), not personal. The USA is in a different situation, because their pool of players is much larger than ours, and I can take action like that. Italy had a solid team at the 5th-6th place level with some podium at major events (2023- Worlds, 2022- Euro) and we are miss of this opportunity to play with players who, in 3-4 years, will be at a similar level to old NT in 2022-2024.

  18. I read that during the Soviet era, it was decided that the track would be in Sigulda, which is why Latvia now benefits from it, but of course they had to maintain it after regaining independence. In Italy people can't manage such facilities, which is why the tracks in Cortina and Cesana were closed many years ago after the 2006 Olympics. Now I'm concerned about what will happen to the new track in Cortina after 2026. It's crucial to obtain the right to host the World Cup there but there are many interested countries. Germany, for example, hosts three World Cups in a single season + Sigulda, Sankt Moritz, USA, Asia, Austria etc.
  19. I recently read that they were trying to give him a passport based on his sporting merits to speed up the process but I think that with Pozzecco as head coach, we won't achieve too much.
  20. Unfortunately water polo has such strict rules and so much room for interpretation for the referee that practically anyone can be called out. The top teams are evenly matched, and two or three decisions are enough to change the outcome of a match.
  21. Ukraine had its golden time in summer sports around 1996-2000, but winter sports have always been rather weak there. Except for biathlon or some star in other sport, of course. I remember hockey was once quite strong in your country and you played at the Olympics, but of course, without any chance of winning medals – that's the level of Belarus and Kazakhstan. Alpine skiing has always been havent`t good in Ukraine. Why? Are there no conditions for this sport?
  22. Four years of work ruined by referees who received instructions from World Aquatics to delete us over because they had a conflict with the president of the Italian federation- Barelli. Is that fair? But of course we should score better penalty shootouts, because we've lost so many important medals in major events to them.
  23. In this group it's probably best to finish second and play against the USA in the quarterfinals. The group winner could play either Greece or Montenegro. OK, but if you want to win gold, you must beat teams like that.
  24. Olena Zubrilova? I remember that at the beginning of the 21st century there was quite a fuss about it.
