Ceci Dominguez on the start list and actually not listed as DNS, but since she started in the cross-country World Cup in Toblach 45 minutes or so ago, I highly doubt she'll start. Obertilliach is close, but not that close

On a podcast called Threshold, Campbell Wright announced that as of the 2023-2024 season, he will be skiing for the USA. He has been training and traveling with the US all season. New Zealand has given him little if any support. Wright has a US passport and is a US citizen. He almost skied for the US in the Olympics, but NZ stepped up a the last moment.

And definitely the best World Cup result ever for blood!
In biathlon, that is, obviously there have been a whole bunch of podiums and wins in alpine skiing by now.

What a great race this was, I love this podium
Big congratulations to Vittozzi, finally back on top, and with a clear shooting, after the troubles from last week where it looked like her old demons from last season were back. What a great way to bounce back just a few days later!
I'm thrilled for Lou Jeanmonnot's first podium I gotta be honest, between the 2 French ""youngsters"", I was expecting Sophie Chauveau to be the first one on a podium, although Lou's season has been really good so far as well, she has more experience in the world cup and she's definitely more consistent in her shooting than Sophie is (who had a bad day on the shooting range today ).
And of course I'm happy about Julia Simon's 3rd place which means she wins a few points against Elvira Oeberg and keeps the yellow bib

Looks like Selina Gasparin is not entirely done yet, easily winning today's Alpencup sprint in Lenzerheide

All - WOW! I was able to be at the Pursuits yesterday. The only way to relate the atmosphere in Le Grand Bornand is a football/soccer match. I was on the course, and when Julia Simon and Eric Perrot shot yesterday, it was like a rocket taking off it was so loud. Lots of fun to watch, even those near the end. I am not sure if you could tell, or if it even made it on the broadcast, but the last downhill, followed by the sharp left hand turn into the steep uphill right before the range was really icy. Lots of concentrated faces at that spot. I was there for the women. The men I was where the long climb makes the turn around. That is a really long climb, and for the Mass start even longer.
Fun experience.
