  1. Apparently there are issues with the 2027 Pan Am Games https://www.infobae.com/colombia/2023/04/14/juegos-panamericanos-de-barranquilla-2027-en-riesgo-de-cancelarse-ministerio-del-deporte-le-paso-el-problema-a-petro/ The host city has till July 31 to commit to them, or they will lose it.
  2. women's fours guaranteed Santiago 2023 qualification now.
  3. 16 Year old Julia Tunks with 59.11 in the discuss! Wow
  4. @mrv86 any idea what happened to the women's fours for Cuba? They look like they are going for a casual stroll
  5. I hope they assign those to countries that are not here.
  6. So 2 men's quotas in sculls? None in women?
  7. Reassigned as in no boats available? If so, I wonder if they will award and 4x quotas or award wildcards to countries not competing.
  8. Women's quad sculls qualifiers Men's quad sculls qualifiers
  9. Pelota qualification tournament schedule
  10. Looks like the A team is going in Canoeing sprint (B team was sent in 2019).
  11. Canada will be sending a B men's freestyle team to the Pan Am Championships (no idea why). So I highly doubt we will secure quotas in the 74 and 86 kg events. The women on the other hand will have their A team, and should be able to grab missing quotas.
  12. and are in the finals of the quad sculls for men. So one of them is guaranteed a full quota in men's sculls. and all qualify in women's quad sculls (Chile qualified for the final, guaranteeing the final has 5 boats that are not qualified) are the next 3 best times in the heats. Two additional boats will qualify.
  13. In rowing, the men's quad was 6th best in the heats today. They need to be 5th or better to get a full team. The men's lightweight won their heat and should qualify. The women's quad should qualify as well. That leaves the men's four and women's four to compete. The women's lightweight program is not here (Canada won gold in Lima)
  14. A couple of big names have already declared for the athletics competition: Marco Arop and Aaron Brown
  15. What a horrible logo
  16. doing well so far except in men's pair (no fours entered), so Canada might have 0 representation in this category.
  17. boat did not start at the rowing qualifier...
  18. and qualify men;s recurve teams and , , and qualify individual spots.
  19. Canada received a spot in the lightning event. Not sure why and how. https://panamsailing.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/STATUS-OF-COUNTRY-QUALIFICATION-SANTIAGO-2023-13-APRIL-2023-w-NOC-CONFIRMATIONS.pdf
  20. Canada's only Olympian in this sport Daniel Gayainsky retired. He was named to the North American Qualifier team. Haya Jumaa also gave birth recently and obviously didn't compete at the qualifiers. Arguably two of the best Canada has seen.
  21. Wtf? Also Mouat lost to Retornaz 2 days after winning gold at worlds
  22. I thought @mrv86meant for rowing
