  2. I don't think we'll see Wiles next season either. This is basically the same injury that Vonn suffered in Schladming 2013.
  3. Karolina Riemen-Zerebecka will make her World Cup return in Arosa. She told the Polish media most of the other competitors were shocked to see her back in action following the Sierra Nevada crash and the subsequent coma.
  4. Walczykiewicz finally fends off the demons from London where she basically choked into 5th place. Wonderful silver for Poland!!! And of course Mikojalczyk/Naja defend their bronze from London too. With all the bad luck & terrible results we've had elsewhere, the canoe sprinters actually lived up to the expectations!!!
  5. Yeah, watching Figueroa win that gold was exceptional! Finally something different from all the Chinese and Russians. However Szymon Kolecki has resigned as the president of our federation following the scandal. He's the least guilty man of them all as he initially kicked T.Zielinski out of the Rio team in June. I fully expect the bunch of morons on the board will pretend nothing happened though
  6. I prefer judo over wrestling so thankfully they always schedule athletics for the second week and judo for the first. Judo/Athl;etics clash would be criminal for me as a fan. Only in Sydney I think they had athletics in the first week due to their hopes in swimming for the second week IIRC.
  7. Van Tichelt wins by armbar! Finally some Olympic joy for his coach Robert Krawczyk who was ipponed 4 secs from the end in Athens OG SF while leading on points and finished 5th thereafter. Now let's see if Ono finally scores gold for Japan
  8. Lasha bows out with a bronze. Muki really blew it in the semis. It was always near impossible for him to beat Lasha IMO.
  9. Telma Monteiro won 5 WC medals and 11 EC medals, it's hard to imagine she never finished higher than 9th at the Olympics until now! I guess he can retire now? Well done! Caproriu was in tears but at least she has the silver from London
  10. Tomasz Zielinski who was supposed to enter the 94 kg category was caught doping and is out of the Games. And this comes as no surprise at all. Back in June our federation president Szymon Kolecki (ex-two time Olympic silver medalist) kicked out both him and Krzysztof Szramiak for training in their own clubs rather than under the eye of the federation coaches and facilities. But the damn board overturned that decision and allowed him to enter. And now he gets busted. Good frickin' riddance. The guy was shady by a country mile and Kolecki has the last laugh. The board should basically resign in wake of this news. What a bunch of morons! Btw, T. Zielinski is the EC silver medallist and the brother of Adrian who won gold in London OG. I hope he's banned for life now.
  11. Malgorzata Kozaczuk upsets Shen Chen 15-9 and advances into Round of 16! Bogna Jozwiak never had a chance vs Velikaya though. Aleksandra Socha had a terrible draw, if she beats Gulotta of Italy she will face the reigning Olympic champion Kim JY.
  12. Kuziutina had nothing left in the tank. Kelmendi vs Nakamura is the semis but it's basically like a final.
  13. Kelmendi looked very nervous there. Must have had some London vibes at the back of her mind,
  14. Any chance of Tandrevold making the team? Our Polsat commentators wanted her to be on the team after the Tyumen heroics and well, the NOR female cast is as weak as I can remember. If not, then perhaps she can at least take a trip to Khanty-Mansiysk for the WC finale?
  15. Our guys are so slow they will be lapped regardless
  16. I don't know why they bother with Krystyna Guzik in the mixed relay? It's obvious our guys will blow any chance of a Top 10 result we could have
