Makarainen 60 secs. faster than Vittozzi and Wierer over 20 secs. faster than Vittozzi as well! Aymonier 9/10 which is one of her best sprints for a while. Olsbu beats Kaisa by 11,5 secs. This could be the win.

Olsbu should be able to hold off Makarainen? Kais way faster than even Kuzmina! Vittozzi's charge at Wierer has stopped today.

Men's SL/GS is more boring because Kristoffersen has dropped off the boil badly when it seemed 2-3 years ago he can challenge Hirscher. He simply can't these days. If Hirscher avoids injury he's got 5-6 years left and him doing only tech events actually helps his longevity. He only got beat on merit once in slalom this season, the other two he simply eased off too much in the 1st run thinking he can win at 80%.

I care about others too. Men's alpine skiing aka the Marcel Hirscher one man show? Really? That's supposed to be better than Shiffrin/Vlhova?

If you dislike Shiffrin's dominance and Vlhova as a person there's nothing there for you in alpine skiing to follow

Della Mea would have a higher bib than Marsaglia though? Now FM sits 29th after 1st run so can make some gains in the 2nd run. Plus slalom is Della Mea's better event?

That was probably the deal though, Della Mea takes TE and Marsaglia GS.

The second run will be curious given the course shape. Any of the Top 4 can still win gold tbh. Worley would need a huge charge in 5th.

Vlhova lost 0,5 seconds on mistakes. Shiffrin very passive too.

Kyler Murray has announced he wants to be a NFL QB after all. Wonder what numbers he puts at the combine where he finally gets measured too (5'9" here we go). Woman kicker Kareem Hunt has been signed by the Browns (by his old Chiefs GM Dorsey). He still hasn't been suspended but that's to be expected. -
Nobody trains to be a good all-arounder anymore. People train to be elite in one event and they usually combine two to a very good degree and still only the best can be very good in three events (not anyone outside Shiffrin these days). All these short DHs give extra edge to technical skiers already who also profit from a much better shape of the slalom course anyway. Reversing Top 15 for the combined slalom would be the only way to cure this IMO but that hasn't happened.
