  1. Squash? That's like a niche sport. Who actually plays that on pro level? IOC needed decades to have tennis back and squash is probably even less important than badminton?
  2. Kamila Zuk 7th in the junior individual with 4 misses. She won this event last season and allthough her skiing time was 60 secs. faster than anyone else, the shooting was poor. Still, this is not the way to go given how her chief rival from last season Davidova has moved on in the World Cup.
  3. Well, the WJC are held in Slovakia right now so where else would he be?
  4. Poish Fed says the cost of this tunnel equals 100 years of salary for the snow blowers and of course it's dangerous with the side wind hitting the jumpers on take-off. The wind factor is assessed during the in-run and this tunnel would prevent that. All in all, a very dangerous idea according to several Polish experts. It would make more sense to have ski jumping indoors which is an idea floating around for years (and probably only the Germans have enough funds to build such an indoor hill tbh).
  5. This is being ridiculed even by some Polish experts
  6. Uiloq Slettemark liked my FB comment about her daughter!
  7. Cornelia Huetter suffered a partial ACL tear in that crash today and is out of WCH. She walked away from it so it looked as she dodged a bullet but not anymore.
  8. Endurance racing is at it's worst tbh. And I thought the Audi dominance was bad (and it sure was). There's some cool stuff in America but WEC is a joke, period.
  9. Formula E over IndyCar? Hell no. F1 & IndyCar are the best, WEC is a joke given how Toyota has no competition and WRC is stupid under Super Rally rules. I miss the multiple factory teams competing in the 90s. Now it's a glorified privateer series.
  10. Polish ski jumping will take a massive hit once Stoch & Zyla retire. Tomasz Pilch was labelled as the next Malysz last year but he's completely off even among the juniors. The kid signed a deal with Red Bull but hell, Malysz is his uncle so there is that. We'll slide down the order like Finland after the 2022 OG
  11. I bet Gwizdon kinda raised the average age for the girls there. Our commentator once recognized her by her boots color during an awkward relay shot (real quote). Btw, since you hang around these biathlon venues do you know Sebastian Krystek? (a Polish journalist).
  12. Hanna Oeberg will take part in EC in Minsk & skip the trip to Canada & USA. Obviously grandma Gwizdon will also be in Minsk (in case anyone misses her on the World Cup ).
  13. Indianapolis 500 is still the single most-important race in the world for me. Fuck Daytona...
  14. Well done, Ukaleq Her father competed for Denmark in the WOG. She doesn't have to change anything? The Slovakians hosts knew little about her potential if they couldn't find a bigger flag?
  15. DH called off after 42 skiers for safety reasons. Under the FIS rules if 30 skiers make it out of the start the race is official IIRC.
  16. Top 20 finally done and Stephanie Venier is set to win her first World Cup race. Brignone took a fall at the fixed jump but is OK.
  17. Heavy fall for Huetter... but not at that jump.
  18. Ga-Pa women's DH stopped after three skiers due to a huge jump profile they are fixing now. Given some of the luck we had this season this is an injury-maker if someone misses the landing.
  19. Natalia Kaliszek/Maksym Spodyriev finished 5th which is the best result in ice dance in EC history. Previous best was 7th twice, 1976 & 2000 (the latter by their current coach Sylwia Nowak).
  20. I won't be surprised if France somehow blows the men's relay in the World Ch
  21. Hmm? Did he want to equal someone's record? It's not like Madrid hosted this event...
  22. Is this Fernandez's last season? I thought he would retire after 2018? For comparison Kurakova scored 178.80 winning the Four Nations in December so she'd have a shot at Top 5 here. Okay, looking forward to next year
  23. Wierer wins Yurlova 8 misses but Mironova ups her at 9. 2 pts for random Estonian Oja
  24. Wierer shooting speed gives her 7 secs. lead over Vittozzi & Dahlmeier.
  25. Wierer vs Vittozzi for the win on the last shoot!
