  9. First of all, thanks to all the users who are so kind to update on new qualified athletes. It's very much appreciated. Just a small message to all who haven't noticed it yet. Some weeks ago I posted this: I will create one post for every week and update it with new qualified athletes as they qualify in that week. Example : Update - Week 20 - May 13 to May 19 - 2019 You can search for the week number or days in that week and get an overview of that week's qualified athletes. I will also make a separate post for Diamond League events. The post will contain the words "DL, the name of the host city and year" Example: DL Shanghai 2019 I have now put this message in the first posts with the total qualified male and female athletes. This way I hope more users and guests on the forum becomes aware of this option. Link to the first posts (Just click on "Men" if you want to see the total quota of qualified male athletes. You can do the same for female athletes): Qualified Quotas Overview Men (Total Quota: 253) Women (Total Quota: 244)

  17. The General election in Denmark was held yesterday. The results from the Danish general election: Party Votes in % Seats Change from last general election (2015) Social Democrats (A) 25.9 % 48 +1 LIberal Party (V) 23.4 % 43 +9 Danish People's Party (O) 8.7 % 16 -21 Social-Liberal Party (B) 8.6 % 16 +8 Socialist People's Party (F) 7.7 % 14 +7 Red-Green Alliance (Ø) 6.9 % 13 -1 Conservative People's Party (C) 6.6 % 12 +6 The Alternative (Å) 3.0 % 5 -4 The New Right (D) 2.4 % 4 +4 (New) Liberal Alliance (I) 2.3 % 4 -9 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- National Threshold 2.0% Hard Line (P) 1.8 % 0 0 (New) Christian Democrats (K) 1.7 % 0 0 Klaus Riskær Pedersen (E) 0.8 % 0 0 (New) Turnout: 84.5 % 179 seats, 175 Denmark, 2 Greenland and 2 Faroe Island. 90 seats are needed for a majority. We will have a new goverment. It will very likely be a one party minority government with the Social Democrats with support from the Social-Liberal Party, Socialist People's Party and Red-Green Alliance. (89 seats from Denmark, 1 from Greenland and 1 from Faroe Islands = 91 seats) Some other scenarios could be a Social Democrats/Socialist People's Party, Social Democrats/Social-Liberal Party or a Social Democrats/Liberal Party government, All of these scenarios are very unlikely. https://www.politico.eu/article/denmarks-social-democrats-on-course-to-win-election/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Danish_general_election I guess @Agger can elaborate more about the election.
  18. Nope, the world ranking will only be used to fill out the quotas in every discipline if not enough athletes qualify by achieving the entry standard. You can see the quotas here: https://www.atleticalive.it/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Olympic-Games-Tokyo-2020-qualification-system.pdf
  19. Nope... Sorry, I forgot! Thanks for the reminder.
  20. Tissanna Hickling from has secured the first quota in Women's Long Jump, which also means at least one athlete has qualified by achieving the entry standard in every discipline and distance.
  21. Nations I always support are: Iceland (Always loved their handball team and it started my support for other Icelandic athletes.) Ireland (Sonia O'Sullivan started my support for Ireland. Maybe one more thing, but nothing related to sports. My parents obsession with Johnny Logan have maybe subconsciously made me support Ireland when I began watching sport.) Slovenia (Started with ski jumping, Primosz Peterka. I have since supported them in Winter Sports.) Slovakia (Actually this didn't start because of a victory, but a loss. It was back in 2005 where Slovakia lost in the Davis cup Final to Croatia and I felt so sad for them that I started to follow Slovakia in many sports. This match also started my hate relationship towards Croatia in sports. Sorry @dcro ) Zimbabwe (The Black Brothers in tennis and Kirsty Coventry in swimming.) Uruguay (From football. I began to research about them and found out they won the first World Cup, which my 9-year-old self at that time thought was amazing for such a small country.)
