Miss Curaçao used this weekend’s Miss Universe Pageant to make a political statement about her territory’s lack of representation at the Olympics. definitely trying to keep pressure on the IOC when it comes to Olympics representation.3 points -
and it is over. - 1-2 10 Matches - 7 Wins, 1 Draw (against Luxembourg at home in the very first match of the campaign 0-0) and 2 defetas (Both to 0-1 at home and 3-2 in Portugal) in total 22 unbelievable points (we tied our historic best, 22 points we gained in the 2010 WC qualifiers, when we even won the group there). Just unbelievable, Either this group was really the easiest of all or we just run our all time luck this year, there no other explanation for this I repeat will be the only team next year who was picked from Pot 5 at the draw. That is just historic, no idea if that even happened before, to overpass teams from pots 2, 3 & 43 points

In the not so lovely Bulgarian sports picture lately, we had a gigantic proud moment yesterday. Our women's team won the European Team Chess Championships title. From 9 matches, we won 7 and had 2 draws. The feat is even more special for 2 reasons. One, our whole team, bar our captain, are around 20 years old. And two, this is the first time we are playing in the Team Chess Championships in 10 years, because you guessed it, we don't have a proper Federation and have a 7 year ban from ECU & FIDE. As a matter of fact we shouldn't have played here, but they gave our team a Wild Card, after the results our young girls are having this year. All other countries agreed to us participating as well. Captain Antoaneta Stefanova (2417) - former Women's World Champion; Nurgyul Salimova (2412)- Finalist at this years Chess World Cup and playing in the 2024 Women's Candidates Tournament; Gergana Peycheva (2287) - 2 Time BG Rapid Chess champion; Viktoria Radeva (2332) - 3 Time BG National champion; Beloslava Krasteva (2262) - Bronze medalist at the U20 Women's World Championships this year The team played the last 3 matches with a player down, as Radeva got sick with a fever and had to spend 2 days at the hospital. And all this without a single penny from the country. But today, those Ministers and whatnot were the first to congratulate them... Every chess player is financing their careers with personal finances, sponsors and crowdfunding. I'm ashamed my country doesn't give these brilliant people what they deserve. Maybe this would change now. Full Euro team summary: Serbia, Bulgaria Triumph; Carlsen Takes Gold On Board 12 points

Qualified : Final repêchage tournament : Unlike the women's qualifications several World Series teams are not in yet, and two at least will be left out. A bit karmic to see the three relegated from last season (Japan, Kenya and Uruguay) get a spot when their executioners (Canada and Spain) don't.2 points

Video challenges should be the way to go anyway...it is just super weird how VAR is being used now, by first taking ages...not to make a decision, but to decide 'ok, we are going to look', and then looking for ages, and then taking an actual decision. Give both teams 2-3 challenges, and maybe the referee as well, and let the VAR - who is an actual referee anyway - make the decision. That would save tons of time and make games a lot more fluent.2 points

I hope me and the wife can attend some events. My wife's uncle and his family live near Verona, so a family visit could be an opportunity to witness some events in Milano live. My wife likes figure skating, so that is on the wish list of events to attend. Personally I would love to attend one of the ice hochey games, but it would also be fun to watch either short track or speed skating live.1 point

Olympic Truce Resolution agreed to by the UN for Paris 2024. A lot of nations not even bothering to vote on it. Russia and Syria were the only nations to formally abstain from voting. Of course, we’ve all learned a member state can violate said truce and remain a member of the IOC (without even a suspension nonetheless!), so a nice meaningless gesture by all involved.1 point -

Archery at the Pacific Games 2023
Benolympique reacted to JoshMartini007 for a topic
Looking at New Zealand's internal criteria, it is likely they will decline the quotas obtained either here or at the Oceania qualifier so that opens up a chance for a Pacific nation to qualify, possibly Fiji or Palau. Of course, New Zealand would have decline before the final qualification tournament for it to be reallocated to Oceania.1 point -
У принципу реална бројка је 100+ учесника1 point

As expected, only Aussie archers got the required MQS and as such, went 1-2 in the individual rankings in both genders. Other than that, Palau’s archers were better than those from other NOC’s recognized by IOC, except for in men’s and & in women’s, so a nice result for them. So for the mixed team elimination rounds should look like this: v. winner of / v. winner of /1 point

Boks - racunam jos 1 do 2 kvote. Rvanje - jos 2-3 kvote. Tenis - 4 kvote. Stoni tenis - mozda 1 zenska kvota. Siguran sam da postoji jos neki sport gdje imamo sansi, ovako na brzinu bi to bilo to.1 point -

Exactly 30 years ago Romania needed a win in Wales to qualiy for 1994 World Cup. We won 2-1 in Cardiff. The national coach then was Anghel Iordanescu and one of the scorers was Gheorghe Hagi. Today we qualified by exactly same score, 2-1 away, the national coach is Anghel Iordanescu's son, Eduard Iordanescu and one of the scorers is Gheorghe Hagi's son, Ianis Hagi😁. What a great story in our fotball😍1 point
