It is the old story, :GBR starting speed versus :GER driving skill in the second half of the track.

Honestly, I'll be more than happy with any colour medal in the Women's race, especially after all the 4ths we've had so far this Games. Did not expect Stoecker (and also Tarbit) to look this fast.

Don't know what it says, that the official skeleton competition is in early morning, while in the afternoon we have the bobsleigh trainings. :dunno: One would think the proper races should have priority over some trainings. Especially when around 16-17:00 there is nothing going on and it would have been ideal to have the skeleton then.

There are rumours that Koventry is going to stop Herskevych today personally...

I've never though I'll be ever missing Bach, let alone so quick

I am unashamed, at getting nothing done.

Coventry came personally to disqualify Herskevych

She must resign

They are not even brave enough to mark him as DQ

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
