Sri Lanka was only entered in the men’s 4x400m and Australia were already entered in that. Portugal and Spain were already entered in the women’s and mixed respectively too. The mixed and women’s 400 were not filled (30 and 27 nations entered) Josh

Timetable | Bahamas 24 | World Athletics Relay Mixed Relay starting immediately after Men's and Women's relay on Day 2 which means teams have to prioritise the events. Jinzha 552 Posted May 2 #24 Share Posted May 2 There's a new name in the 4x400m relay on the men's side: Eugene Omalla. He's 23 years old with a Ugandan father and a Dutch mother, born in the Netherlands but grew up abroad. He switched from Rugby to 100m/200m/400m sprint only a few years ago when he was 17 and is apparently very talented on the 400m. He runs for Kansas State University and after a really strong indoor season (45.18, faster than Liemarvin Bonevacia's NR) decided to represent the Netherlands internationally. He never represented Uganda internationally. His brother Jaime Omalla also ran a 46 seconds 400m indoor and will also represent the Netherlands, but he is not with the relay squad in the Bahamas. Yes, teams have two opportunities to qualify to the Olympics. The results of the final do not matter. rafalgorka
dodge 757 Posted May 2 #30 Share Posted May 2 (edited) When the timetable was originally released, they names the first round as heats. Now they’re listed as “Olympic qualification round one” with the second day split into “Olympic qualification round two” and “finals” Edited May 2 by dodge
