I’m remembering that it was here in Rome that someone once got a javelin through the leg. Looked it up - Pitkamaki the thrower. Salim Sdiri the long jumper the victim. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/french-long-jumper-hurt-in-freak-javelin-accident-20070714-gdqmc1.html
Grassmarket 3,362 Posted June 9, 2022 #22 Share Posted June 9, 2022 Tamberi not really in form this year yet. Needs to get his beard issues sorted out, I think.
Grassmarket 3,362 Posted June 16, 2022 #23 Share Posted June 16, 2022 Oslo tonight: sadly missing 50% of the main home-field attraction, but still a lot to look for. Always one of the best meets for crowds and atmosphere. World-leading Olympic champions ready to roll in Oslo | PREVIEWS | World Athletics
Grassmarket 3,362 Posted June 16, 2022 #24 Share Posted June 16, 2022 Wet & chilly looking in Oslo, so I doubt we’re going to get the big Duplantis jump here. Should be good for the middle distance races though.

Jinzha 702 Posted June 18, 2022 #29 Share Posted June 18, 2022 Bol takes another Diamond League win, but this time it's the Australian one in the men's 800m. Happy to see PB's by Klaver in the 400m (50.80) and Van Diepen in the 800m (1:44.14) Edit: apparently the 800m was originally won by Benjamin Robert but he was disqualified.
