With her at the moment anyway, the feeling arises that she hits much more when she just bangs out the shots

Which is exactly how she shot during her early success in the world cup 😬 It will be interesting to notice what her next shootings will be.

She also seems to have a very big attitude problem. After the individual she had what she wanted and didn't care about the rest. It was the same at the World Championships last year.

That was my point. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention before that, but this is new to me.

I've watched it on eurosport.fr with Sandrine Bailly doing the commentating, and you could hear how furious she was about that shooting, even if she didn't say much...

I used to think of Anais Chevalier as the most reliable French female biathlete. Well... Her prone shooting was akin to a professional fault really: she shooted her last bullet way too quickly without much focus, missed it and went to the penalty loop. Then, it was game over for the French team.

It did feel like a truly lack of commitment. That's unacceptable in a an (Olympic) relay. Honestly, other girls should rightfully be pissed about her performance.

I'm curious as to what you think the lineup should be.  Guigonnat replaces Jacquelin?

No :p I'd have liked QFM in 3rd and Jacquelin in 4th. aka the suicide squad, but also the only one who could fight with Norway for gold.

With this team,we're maximizing our medals chances, not so much our gold medal chance. Which is is OK anyway.

Anyway, we shouldn't read to much in youngsters results. Past junior and youth world championships medals tables are filled with people who didn't had any success at senior level (and from every nation).

By their results at a young age, Simon Fourcade should have dominated the world of biathlon, not Martin.

Desthieux turned 29 yo in December. He's not that old. Actually the fact Jacquelin was the defending pursuit champion enabled France to field 5 men in the sprint. Polish ES argued if they could only field four then Desthieux would have been the odd man out.

Guigonnat most likely or Claude on his current form.
