  10. Floods force slalom changes in Prague The Troja river has reached heights which has made the usual slalom course unrecognizable. As a result, organisers have scrapped Thursday’s competition, and will abbreviate the kayak and canoe competitions. On Friday there will only be one heat of the men’s and women’s kayak, with the top ten in each heat qualifying directly for the final. It will be the same format for the canoe on Saturday. The kayak cross competition on Sunday, which also doubles as the final Olympic qualifier, will be run as usual, but will also introduce a repechage round. It will be a similar format when kayak cross makes its Olympic debut in Paris. Athletes from 38 nations will be competing in the kayak cross in Prague. There will be three Olympic quotas up for grabs in both the men’s and women’s events, and only athletes who have not yet earned their country an Olympic quota will be eligible to compete. The kayak cross Olympic qualifiers will be held on Sunday afternoon.
  11. I don't expect as many withdrawals as Tokyo Games. Hard to reach singles entry who is below 100 in ranking. Also in doubles, players will surely consider the fact whether they choose the option of high ranked doubles player and high ranked singles player will together if they never played doubles together .......
  12. Any other non-Americans watching NCAAs? If so how? I'm currently watching an Ace Stream but it's not great.

  16. Probably nobody care about it now, at summer, but Natalia Maliszewska is now allowed to training again on ice and to compete in international events after her ban when she didn't come on time to three antidoping controls in 2022 and 2023. https://www.instagram.com/p/C71xrahK3Wp/
  17. Following 30 swimmers will compete in Belgrade at upcoming European Championships
  18. will send the biggest ever delegation to European Championships, which includes 96 athletes. I'm hoping that some, of not qualified yet to Paris athletes, will do it here.
  19. With Ganna and Pogacar as well, definitely going to be an exciting contest in Paris. The men's time trial has been a really exciting contest over the past decade.
  20. has announced their Olympic roster. https://www.instagram.com/p/C71-gcwOuzv/?igsh=M2I4OW0wZjlyN2ls Cameron Brink Hailey Van Lith Rhyne Howard Cierra Burdick I would’ve picked Hull over Burdick, but with US’s depth in 3x3 basketball her absence is hardly surprising.
  21. Freeriding is now officially an FIS discipline (interestingly, freeriding will be the first FIS discipline that has events for both skiing and snowboarding). I think it's pretty clear they will push for it to join the Olympics.
  22. That's the way to make continental games very relevant, and thus bigger - lean into the fraternal relationship with the IOC - it also provides a useful pathway to the IOCs ambitions with Olympic Qualifier Series and the like.
