  1. Well, somebody must have this info, cause a while back I saw an article in portuguese saying that Brazil had qualified (so far) 7 athletes in Road/Track and that's exactly the number presented in the table. Anyway, the qualification document says "The Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI) Continental Federation (CF) will confirm to Panam Sports and NOCs the places they have qualified, by January 15th, 2019." So maybe they already have this info? Can you e-mail them? Anyway, when we have the list, I will separate the quotas of Road/Track in the first page and correct the mistakes.
  2. I don't think so. Wikipedia has the combined results, which seem accurate What is missing is a clarification of which quotas are "Road" and which ones are "Track", which I guess we will have soon with a confirmation by COPACI since the qualification system doesn't specify it like you said.
  3. Hot take: I'm actually tired of the lights and wish they were gone already
  4. Brazil's team has been "horrible" for some years now and yet they always medal in the most important competitions, so I don't know what the problem is.
  5. I agree about the Men's side, but among the women the year was quite good actually (all things considered). 3 teams among top 8 in the world, and Agatha/Duda won the most important title of the season.
  6. Why would you consider the World League as the most important competition and not World Championship?
  7. Wikipedia has a summary of the Surfing qualification: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surfing_at_the_2019_Pan_American_Games_–_Qualification I think the 2019 ISA World Longboard Championships is the only competition left to complete the qualification.
  8. Brazil didn't participate either. Maybe these nations will be awarded quotas?

  11. Ana Marcela Cunha and Isaquias Queiroz won the Prêmio Brasil Olímpico, which is exactly the same duo that won in 2015. It was the second award for Cunha and third for Queiroz, so not a lot of variety here. Henrique Avancini won "Atleta da Torcida" (popular vote) thanks to the support of the "bike" community in Brazil.
  12. Surprised to see Brazil with one athlete!
  13. Do you guys have any info about Basque Pelota qualification?
  14. Updating some quotas: 3x3 Basketball +8 +8 +8 +4 +4 +4 +4 Equestrian +12 +12 +12 +8 Rugby Sevens +12 Surfing +3 +1
  15. For Prêmio Brasil Olímpico, which will take place at December 18th, the nominees are: Men Gabriel Medina (Surfing) Isaquias Queiroz (Sprint Canoeing) Pedro Barros (Skateboarding) Women Ana Marcela Cunha (Swimming) Ana Sátila (Slalom Canoeing) Marta (Football) Isaquias won the award 2 times, so I'm guessing they're going with Medina (first time nominee) this time. Among the women, Cunha won before and is nominated almost every year, while Sátila achieved her second nomination in a row. Marta is a easy pick because she never won before - which also would be the first time a footballer (man or woman) wins! There's also a thing called Atleta da Torcida, which basically it's a popular vote award that strangely enough doesn't include some of the nominated athletes above. The nominees are: Erika Miranda (Judo) Bruno Rezende (Volleyball) Arthur Zanetti (Gymnastics) Henrique Avancini (Cycling) Gabriel Medina (Surfing) Ágatha/Duda (Beach Volleyball) Letícia Bufoni (Skateboarding) Bruno Fratus (Swimming) Marta (Football) Eduarda Amorim (Handball) I guess Medina wins but who knows. If he (or Bufoni) posts something about this on their instagram accounts, they can easily win, but right now Avancini of all people has more than 80% of the vote (most likely because he said something about the award in his social medias). I voted for Erika. Anyone can vote here. Finally, the brazilian committee also picks the best in each Olympic sport (for winter sports they simply divide between "ice" and "snow") and all these athletes have their moment at the ceremony. The list:
  16. Yes, it happened many times, but this is a *very* important match. If the match is played today and River is the champion, this win will be tainted for sure.
  17. Doesn't matter if it's something usual or not. The club (River) should be penalized and match shouldn't happen today.
  18. Two late matches, one with incidents that shouldn't have happened. And this was supposed to be the Libertadores "superfinal". More shame to south american football.
  19. 5-time Olympian Dani Scott severely injured in stabbing https://volleymob.com/5-time-u-s-olympian-dani-scott-severely-injured-in-stabbing/
  20. Argentina will be the last option standing, just wait and see I'll finally go to a winter Olympics
