  2. Also, maybe Brazil could be in a joint bid with Argentina and/or Colombia, arguably the three best teams in South America (sorry, Bolivia). But I think it will take more time to have a Women's World Cup in SA.

Unified Korea would be "interesting" (first to be hosted by more than one country), but I don't know how it would work...

  5. Yes, Lula is arrested and should remain this way for a long time. Dilma was never arrested, nothing was ever proved against her and was later found that she had nothing to do with the reasons she was impeached (that's why she still has full political rights). She's the one among them all that don't have to worry about jail. She was incompetent, but my opinion remains that she should have never be impeached (especially considering her replacement was Temer, now a felon). But I digress... I hope soon this operation reaches our current president, who himself is surrounded by corruption. But I doubt a thing will be done unless he screws Brazil (which is not that hard to believe since he's really dumb).
  6. When I say Brazil is not for beginners... Michel Temer, president from August 2016 to December 2018, was just arrested (some might remember him from his very brief appearance at the Rio Olympics open ceremony). Funny thing is that Dilma Rousseff, the one that was impeached and replaced by Temer, is probably at home laughing at this whole mess. Next one: Bonosaur

  12. Let's remember the medal table from 2015: Do we think the top 5 will be the same this year? I say there's a good chance, but Brazil should fight (once again) with Cuba for 3rd place. Also, I'm not too certain about Colombia. They did disappoint at the last Central American and Caribbean Games (at home!), staying behind Mexico and Cuba. I totally can see Mexico in 5th. Also, don't count out Argentina, which I think improved a lot the last few years. So 5th Place are among those three. I wonder if the situation in Venezuela will have its implications in sports. I think it will have a impact, just don't know how big it will be (I wouldn't be a shock to see Venezuela out of the top 10). Chile I think will return to top 10 after two Games - Lima should be a better Pan Ams for them compared to Toronto. At first I was doubtful about Peru's chances, but the extra events should give them at least top 10 (it would be very disappointing otherwise).   13. These Games aren't so important, so it's hard to find any information, maybe tomorrow they will update the results from first day. Brazil is going with a team of 62 athletes in 9 sports, mostly youth athletes with the exception maybe of Beach Handball.
  14. That's exactly what I'm doing (or trying to do). There are much bigger problems in my life to care so much about politics But sometimes it's just hard to ignore the major fuckery that's happening in Brazil.

Brazil can't pass a single day without a scandal lol In today's news, the guys who killed Marielle (a proeminent councilwoman from Rio) were arrested, and one of them lives at the same building of president Bolso I can't with Brazil anymore. I'm just following the news (like I don't live here) and waiting for our inevitable collapse as a nation.
