27th Qualified athlete in 13th Sport for Slovakia
After all, Slovakia will be at the Summer Olympics in Paris represented also in Tennis.
Only a short while ago, the Slovak Team unexpectedly grew to 27 athletes in 13 sports. ITF confirmed the Quota place for Anna Karolína Schmiedlová in the women´s singles competition.
The 29 years old Košice born was 80th in the final WTA Ranking after the French Open, from which the Olympic Quotas were awarded. And it showed enough today for Schmiedlová to receive a reallocation, it will be her Second Olympic experience after Rio 2016, where she lost in the 2nd Round to Ekaterina Makarova 6:3, 4:6 and 2:6, in the 1st round she beat Roberta Vinci of 7:5, 6:4 in the W Singles.
So Team Slovakia is now composed of:
