  1. Ah, that's basically what I do with vegetables. Guess I'm more a vegetable person but I have to say I do love apple ssamjang (Korean hot dipping paste that includes apples). Maybe you could also get into a rhythm with, dare I say it ... olives.
  2. I'm jealous you guys eat so many fruits. I avoid so many of them because of texture and aftertaste unless I make a smoothie out of it or something.
  3. A Danish online friend has told me the other day he's not willing to get vaccinated anymore (he wanted to before) because apparently a notable Danish doctor said something like "Young people, don't get vaccinated. We don't know what it'll do to you long-term." He didn't mention who this doctor was and how credible it is. Have you heard anything about it? But yeah, something like this can influence lots of people too.
  4. A long shot but maybe in longer running events, you never know with the marathon.
  5. It's rare for me but I'll be happy with any of those four winning.
  6. You could argue that shared advantage is better than giving advantage to one team. Alternatively, you could have a host whose team is not qualified, then it'd be fair as nobody had an advantage.
  7. Some dishes I made recently... If you have some ideas, I'm always open. As long as it's not too complex.
  8. Silver platter for Turkey and Colombia and they have messed it up.
  9. I'd say Aida can stay now.
  10. One has to wonder how they defeated the Dutch 4-2.
  11. It would be nice if Australia improved on the results from the Rio games (so winning more than 3 golds, 10 total).
  12. I'd say Ukraine were the hardest opponent.
  13. @Laraja What is the Aloha Cup and why wasn't it held this time but in 2019? Also, could it be some nations didn't take it seriously? The team results look strange, there's no way USA and Brazil are ranked that low but it was mentioned before some Brazilians abandoned early.
  14. Thanks again for playing, @OlympicIRL. Was a nice evening. As for the quiz, with so much to follow this summer, I'm going into a "summer break" here but I may have a sports-only special before the Olympics (in hope to attract somebody new too ). That will still likely be part of Season 2. Regular quiz rounds (new third season) then sometime after the Olympics.
  15. Yeah... nope. All of them were leaders in different crusades but only one of those in the third: Frederick Barbarossa. Pts. 250,000 Who died as army leader of the Third Crusade by drowning in the Saleph river? ♦ A: Louis VII ♦ B: Frederick Barbarossa ♦ C: Boniface of Montferrat ♦ D: Leopold the Glorious
  16. @OlympicIRL Any preferred answer here?
  17. You don't want to be the leader from behind, as in most points lost. That title belongs to @mrv86 for the moment. And there is always a next time so for now you have smashed your previous record. Congrats to Pts. 125,000. TOTAL WINNINGS ♦ P t s . 1 2 5 , 0 0 0 ♦
  18. 125,000 sounds quite nice. It's weirdly enough a sum not won yet.
  19. @OlympicIRL If you're ready, here is your Pts. 250,000 question. Pts. 250,000 Who died as army leader of the Third Crusade by drowning in the Saleph river? ♦ A: Louis VII ♦ B: Frederick Barbarossa ♦ C: Boniface of Montferrat ♦ D: Leopold the Glorious
  20. That was the catch. Might have as well been honey/gum (nectar) For the first time, you are on six-figures. Now you're on your own. You can lose Pts. 93,000 and we've seen that happen before too. 50:50 Expert Switch Team 15 Pts. 1 Million 14 Pts. 500,000 13 Pts. 250,000 12 ♦ Pts. 125,000 11 ♦ Pts. 64,000 10 ♦ Pts. 32,000 9 ♦ Pts. 16,000 8 ♦ Pts. 8,000 7 ♦ Pts. 4,000 6 ♦ Pts. 2,000 5 ♦ Pts. 1,000 4 ♦ Pts. 500 3 ♦ Pts. 300 2 ♦ Pts. 200 1 ♦ Pts. 100
  21. We all know what plankton is. Small organisms unable to propel themselves, depending on the motion of water. Nekton is that swims freely, from Greek nekton = swimming. Therefore, whales and sharks fit the bill. Pts. 125,000 Which of these classifies as an example for nekton? ♦ A: ♦ B: Whales and sharks ♦ C: Anodes and cathodes ♦ D: ♦ P t s . 1 2 5 , 0 0 0 ♦
