Anyway, Naim Suleimanov aka Suleymanoglu would get his first olympic gold here, this one for Bulgaria.
  5. This 1976 boycott was not good. I don't think it helped the cause actually. And it gave a green-light for the 1980 and 1984 boycotts somehow... And you are right, Bayi would be a gold medal contender in 1976. It wouldn't be easy for Garderud and Malinowski to beat him in Montreal.

First gold for the hosts in these polls!!! No medal for USA in this event is quite a surprise imo. I think Carson Foster may be the strongest opponent for Marchand and should get a medal.   14. Strong winds in southern Poland today. It is very likely that today's competition in Zakopane will be canceled. Or it will get a go but be a bad competition, strongly affected by the winds.

  21. And today the most important game for Team Poland against Slovenia. My Mom goes to Spodek to watch the game. She is a huge fan! She should bring luck to the team. And on Sunday my daughter goes with her colleagues to watch Germany vs Serbia game.
