a very nice tradition, I must admit My fav sport newspaper is defenitely L'EQUIPE. A lot of football there as well, but still plenty of room for other sports. They even have new edition on Sundays My French is shamefully weak... but i still enjoy reading it on their app with a lot of help from Google Translate...

Your canoeing gold this year was probably even worse promoted on first pages, i'm afraid But it's good you still have three(!!!) daily sports newspapers. That means people buy them. Here in Poland so much less people read news on paper, that our one and only daily sports newspaper which for many years had new editions 6 times a week - from Monday to Saturday - now have only 2 editions: Monday and Friday. But not only football on page 1 and many interesting articles from all the sports inside.
