I've made this spreadsheet to keep track of all medals in World Championships in olympic events in this olympic cycle - to have an automatic medal count, filter by nation, sport, etc.... I know I won't have always the time to update it, but if anyone wants to help, feel free to do it

What you wrote is not relevant to the case (I already knew he is a very a good runner, but it doesn't matter...even the best athletes have to follow the rules...and the box was on the track 100m before the relevant fact that we are are talking about). I've already explained why his disqualification was not "a robbery" like you said, and I'll do it again more precisely if you want to read.

Rules say clearly that if you are outside the track on the straight and you don't want to be disqualified you have to go back without having illegally gained positions. This is the IAAF rule:
" An athlete shall not be disqualified if he steps or runs outside his lane in the straight, any straight part of the diversion from the track for the steeplechase water jump or outside the outer line of his lane on the bend, with no material advantage thereby being gained and no other athlete being jostled or obstructed so as to impede his progress. Note: Material advantage includes improving his position by any means, including removing himself from a “boxed” position in the race by having stepped or run inside the inside edge of the track ".
 
Kszczot improved his position while outside the track by overtaking the French guy. This is a fact that everyone can see. It doesn't matter if he did it unintenionally or if he was the strongest athlete in the race, he could and should have won the race without breaking the rules.

Congratulations to our first Basketball prediction contest winner of the year and it's another Italian !!  
Congratulations goes to @Pablita ! Congratulations team   Italy for a fifth Gold !

Our champion @Pablita began the contest in 6th place on the opening day, dropping to 7th the next day before jumping on the podium during Day 3 and Day 4, then taking first place for the last three days. It's a totally deserved win
Congratulations once again @Pablita for her first gold medal, third overall for her and 10th for ITALY  
 
On the second step of the podium stands our Dutchman @heywoodu who was clearly a favourite since Day 1 and didn't leave top 2 during all the contest where he took first place between Day 2 and Day 4.
Congratulations to our Silver Medalist @ady48 for his second silver medal, 2nd for   NETHERLANDS !
 
On the third step of the podium it's our second Italian @SteveParker who dropped to 8th place on Day 2 after being 4th in opening day, then climbed the ranking to 4th again then 2nd in Day 4 but finally stayed 3rd for last three days to get his first medal this year.
Congratulation to Our Bronze Medalist @SteveParker for his first medal overall and 11th for ITALY !
 
It was a nice tournament also for unlucky @Dunadan who wasn't far from the bronze again and @dcro .
  Best represented teams in top 10 : Team   Italy with 4 players in top 10: @Pablita (1st), @SteveParker (3rd), @Dunadan (4th) and @Henry_Leon (10th) then Poland with two players @rybak (7th) and @Ufilov (9th) .
 
We should not forget to congratulate @Ufilov and @vinipereira for making the 2 perfect picks .

Men's football doesn't need the Olympics...but maybe the Olympics need men's football for economic reasons (for example, about 20% of tickets sold in the last 3 Olympics were for men's football...4 millions tickets).
 
Now we can probably add to the list skateboarding, surfing, BMX freestyle...and all those X-Games events in which "performers" care more about their pants than an Olympic medal.

I'm not 100% sure , but the event is near at the athletes, when you select...............
Last year had the same "problem" (and again with Schippers...)
Schippers was selected for the first time (this year); instead I have select Elaine Thompson three time in a row 100m/200m)and I hadn't problem with points (200m/100m/200m).
 
However I have delete and  re-select Schippers (200m at Oslo)

it would be awesome to have something like that for continental championships as well

Congratulations to our French Open prediction contest winner and it's another win in a row for Dunadan !!

Our champion Beginning in 3rd place on the opening day, our new champion @Dunadan was always in top 5 during the first third of the contest before leading the contests from Day 6 until the end and never been worse than second placed !

Nope, Nothing. I've been looking in historical tables and results of the volleyball in our territory in the 70s years. And I did found nothing. Absolutely nothing, Not a single mention of any special result, nor any club that would approach the mentioned name. Moreover, such a city or village does not exist and did not existed in the communist era. So it's a fake report.

I don't know how it worked in the past (was this general standing really updated? Did more users participate? ),  but the presence of a general standing itself should encourage lower ranked users to be interested until the end of the contest: gaining positions would mean gaining more points in the general standing, even without bonus points.

Congratulation to our first winner of the year ady48 and Romania for a deserved Gold Medal !

It was a big battle for top spot since Day 3 between ady48, Ufilov and Crolympic, joined on Day 7 by bestmen.
Unfortunately for him and Croatia, Crolympic missed the round of 16 , and dropped from top spot to the middle of the table losing a big chance for a medal  and leaving the lead to ady48 who secured his position until the finish.
 
There was another battle between Ufilov and bestmen for 2nd and 3rd spot, which was decided on the last day when Ufilov had better picks than the algerian ! so Congratulations to Silver Medalist Ufilov and Poland who proved once again how good he is with predictions almost never leaving top 4 except on Day 1 (7th place) and Day 8 (5th place).
Congratulations also goes to bestmen and Algeria who showed a great talent with his picks : he made 12 perfect prediction all tournament long and he is the only one to make a double perfect prediction for Semifinals , good job bestmen  ! (we'll see about your bonus idea  ) 
 
Italian Dunadan clinches 4th spot from Polish rybak who had a great tournament always being in top 5.
 
Great overall result for team Poland with all three players in top 10! though it could have been an impressive top 5 finish for them if only Pavlo didn't drop at the last day (if he didn't predict Norway to be new World Champions )  
 
Unfortunately some players left the contest  I hope that's not a bad sign here 
Thank you all who participated for this first contest of the year even if the number wasn't that large  we can certainly do better than 25 players for the coming contests .
 
For my part I tried to do my best to make this contest come true  even if it came a little late, I hope you enjoyed it!
