  2. @hckosice Salkazanov made the semifinals! he's gonna face later this afternoon the Russian Zhamalov... Slovakia...the new wrestling powerhouse!
  3. nice "all or nothing" running between Denmark and Russia... and halfway through the first period it looks DEN still have some chances to upset the Russians (they need to win, RUS can afford a tie)...
  4. @hckosice your youngster did it! she won the bronze medal! there's life in the Slovak combat sports!

  8. both things, I'd say... Sharshembekov is a good wrestler (he was 5th at the last world champs) and it looks this time he had the tournament of his life (Maryanyan is one of the great figures of his weight class, beating him is always a great achievement...and also the Armenian Galstyan is a medallist from last year's worlds and now is behind the Kirgiz)... Tynybekova is the reigning world champion, so, she's always the woman to beat... the other guys took advantage of the many absent wrestlers stronger than them (still Sulaimanov was 7th at last year's worlds, he's not totally unknown)...
  9. almost...but not quite... "only" 4 out of 5 for the mighty Russians... and tomorrow they have only 1 finalist in the first half of the women's gold medal matches...

  12. well' they're the last updated version (november 2020) and they already incorporated all the changes decided after the postponement of the original date... and we also know that some minor changes are always possible up and until the last minute (depending on how may participants are actually starting any race and possible change of format of the events), but I don't think there's any need to hide those info to the global audience... just explicitly say: "time schedule is always subject to change" and you're perfectly OK... in any case, they also know that there are quite a few transparent organizations that publish all the docs on their websites, so there's no chance to keep them secret (confidential) once they realease them...
  13. the most controversial swimming finish in history... and despite I know how those touch walls work and I can imagine what happened, I still think the timekeepers did some magic there...
  14. I will never ever understand this level of hipocrisy of the American media (and not only by the media)... in a Country with so many controversial episodes of true, real racism and discrimination, people are obsessed with a sports team's nickname... I expect this kind of attitude here in Italy and instead we can find it also in places that are supposed to be a lot more serious than this fuc*in' nation... p.s. I hope they won't be named the Cleveland Baseball Team, now...
  15. Maskevich Tomorrow's Finals 60kg: Sharshenbekov vs Maryanyan 63kg: Torba vs Lokyaev 82kg: Alirzaev vs Aydin 97kg: Szoke vs Evloev 130kg: Yildrim vs Semenov Today's Medallists 55kg Gold: Emin Sefershaev Silver: Serif Kilic Bronze: Eldaniz Azizli & Abdelkarim Fergat 67kg Gold: Nazir Abdullaev Silver: Islambek Dadov Bronze: Slavik Galstyan & Roman Pacukowski 72kg Gold: Balint Korpasi Silver: Malkhas Amoyan Bronze: Cengiz Arslan & Ruslan Tsarev 77kg Gold: Roman Vlasov Silver: Zoltan Levai Bronze: Viktor Nemes & Alexandrin Gutu 87kg Gold: Kiryl Maskevich Silver: Davit Chakvetadze Bronze: Semen Novikov & Zurabi Datunashvili
  16. well, they uploaded all of these files on a public website (the Austrian olympic committee's)... so, I guess they should be charged, if anyone has to...
  17. the hype was high...but the bout was just unbelievable... the match of the century... I feel so sorry for Maruyama...losing a match like this is more than a heartbreaker...but I'm happy that the eventual winner is Abe, since Manuel Lombardo has shown he has more chances to beat him than Maruyama...
  18. if they don't build some artificial hills around the city, I doubt there's a single point all around not featuring a true Sprinters' festival in 2024...
  19. but that's only recent history... the real target was to tie Marie-Therese Nadig's 5 wins in the first 6 races of the season (that's the true record to be improved in the category "most wins to start a season" ), which of course is not possible anymore...
  20. the most detailed schedule in each sport is here: https://www.olympia.at/download/files/{9D130C87-FAEA-41B7-88A3-935D76187A5D}/Tokyo_2020_-_Event_Schedules_All_Sports_Nov_2020.zip
  21. unlucky draw for Nikoloz Kakhelashvili... an Ukranian guy in the first round, then Saravi (or Hardeep) and should he somehow makes it through, he would face the survivor of the big clash between Evloev and Aleksanyan (and the loser of this bout would be most likely the opponent in a possible bronze medal bout)... he couldn't get anything worse (actually, he could have got Evloev or Aleksanyan in the first round, but it would have been too much)...
  22.
