  1. I understand your point... I'm an anxious man by myself, but I also hope that by this summer the situation won't be as bad as it looks right now...the good season in the Northern Hemisphere, a good number of people being vaccinated around the Globe...we gotta be at least a bit optimistic to survive this sh*t...
  2. Seahawks...a true disaster...when Wilson doesn't play his best game, it's a dark night for them... Bucs going through only because they played a team that ended the season with a negative record and only benefit of a shameful division...I don't see them going further if they play like yesterday night in the next game... meanwhile, Lamar started slow, but now he and his Ravens look ready to take their revenge on last year's upset vs Tennessee...
  3. weekend with a full immersion of Wintersports (Biathlon, Alpine & Cross-Country Skiing, Luge, some Snowbowboard and Freestyle) and, above all, NFL Wild Card games (some of them live, some -those played in the European nights- on catch up)...
  4. game over! quite a controversial end, though... by the way, the game has been a lot more entertaining and exciting than what I expected... good start of this year's playoffs...
  5. I don't think so... maybe some people are, but their governors look quite calm...I'm sure they know what to do better than us...
  6. oh, wait...it looks that we still have a game...
  7. Allen to Diggs... game over!
  8. the black saturday of the Italian team...
  9. semifinals Greece b. Spain 12-11 Montenegro b. Italy 14-10 Greece and Montenegro are qualified to the World Final, ITA and ESP will play tomorrow for the last spot...
  10. yeah, this drive was quite bad blow for the Colts...
  11. I think we shouldn't be anxious about that right now...in Japan they're not facing thousends of cases everyday like us in Europe and/or the USA... I'm pretty sure they are capable to keep the situation under reasonable control even starting the vaccination campaign that late...
  12. nice gameplan by the Colts...I expected Buffalo to open a much more comfortable lead in the first half...now they could be involved in a close game where everything can happen...
  13. yesterday I watched the Hungarian TV (unfortunately only the online version with vpn, as on the satellite it was encrypted and reserved to the local audience only)... today it's a bit different...I hope to find a sat feed, because I think I have no chance with regular tv channels...
  14. how to blame him?
  15. yeah..and the entire Italian team missed the whole final part of their ski preparation up North because of that...this is heavily affecting the ski speed of our guys, except for Lukas Hofer, who's already back to his best shape despite the bad covid experience he had in October...
  16. protocols...the only people allowed to help fallen skiers are those in charge of the official medical staff... and especially in cases like that, if you're not fully aware of the situation, you could make a lot of damages by trying to move someone who could have broken vertebra... by the way, Ford regained his consciousness when he was on the helicopter and according to the first news he still recognizes the people talking to him... so, likely he "only" has his knees to be evaluated for further problems, but it looks that there are no big consequences to his head and neck area, which is the most important thing...
  17. the European qualification started today in Debrecen (HUN)... and Spain, Greece, Montenegro and Italy are the 4 Nations still left to fight for the 3 available spots... quarterfinals results Spain b. Serbia 13-11 Greece b. France 13-2 Montenegro b. Croatia 15-14 (after penaly shootout, 10-10 after regulation) Italy b. Hungary 9-8 the winners of tomorrow's semifinals (Spain vs Greece and Montenegro vs Italy) and the 3rd place team (finals are scheduled for Sunday) qualify for the World Final in Tbilisi, Georgia...
  18. the great Tommy La Sorda, legendary (Italian) manager of the great L.A. Dodgers quite a few years ago, has died at the age of 93... R.I.P. man! https://www.mlb.com/news/tommy-lasorda-dodgers-legend-dies-at-93
  19. under normal circumstance, I don't see how they can get a medal... but in this crazy covid-era anything can happen and even a Canadian medal wouldn't surprise me that much...
  20. yeah, and in fact the weather forecast is just awful...snow also at sea level, -22° C in South Tyrol...
  21. USA just unbeatable, then AUS and ESP clear favourite for the remaining 2 medals (which one depending on the quarterfinals' draw, who's lucky to escape the USA in the semifinal match would eventually get silver)... FRA and maybe BEL outsiders, but with very remote chances to upset the top 3... all the rest of the field, I fear they would be satisfied with simple participation...
  22. sad news to begin the new year... Valter Magini, president of the Italian Federation of Modern Pentathlon, died yesterday at the age of 73 because of covid-19... R.I.P.
  23. Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it Today!
  24. yes... not to mention all the basketball players involved in the NBA Finals (if they go to game #7, they will end their club season on July 22nd)... but also all the other athletes would have to face a 15-day period with limited chances to train properly just in the most important moment before their competition... the other proposal by the IOC, coming to Japan less than 5 days before their respective competitions -and having the chance to enter Japan only if they are negative and if they got the covid-19 vaccine- and go home not later than 48 hours after the end of their Olympic event(s), is way more effective to save the Olympic competitions' technical quality, imho...
  25. I agree, my friend! that will be a true sign of renaissance...
