  1. at that point it won't be so interesting anymore...we can't cut the number of competitors at all the global events...it would make them boring (with only the usual suspects at the start)...
  2. and the Italian Olympic dream is flying away in a crazy top of the 8th...2 capital mistakes and a weird, really unlucky play opened up a 3-run gap in favour of Israel... and the inning is not over yet... it will be really difficult to comeback from this hole, now...
  3. Street Skateboarding WC 2019: Open Qualifiers in Sao Paulo Competition began yesterday with open qualifiers in São Paulo for the World Skate 2019 SLS Street World Championships. With both relative newcomers and experienced veterans throwing their hats in the ring and with some risking it all to make it to the quarter finals, viewers were treated to great skating all day. Forty one women competed for the chance to join those already seeded in the quarter finals, with twenty one moving on. Men’s qualifiers had one hundred and eight people skateboarding, with twenty one moving on to join the pre seeded quarter finalists. Stakes were high through out the day. Heats were broken down into groups of three skaters going head to head, in jam format, for three minutes per heat. With the field being narrowed so much to get into the quarter finals, often one bail made the difference between making or not. Today should be another great day of skateboarders as we work our way closer super crown final this Sunday. 7. I know what they did...but still I find it unfair and totally anti-climatic from the fans' point of view... I hope one day they find a way to end this competition format and replace it with one where all the lifters fighting for the medals are together in a single session (something like having a qualification round and a final...I know it's very complicated in a sport like this, but somehow they have to improve and make it more fan friendly)...
  8. Colabellooooooooo!!! once again, Italy went down first (0-2 after 4 innings), but now Colabello brought Poma and Maggi home with a double at center field in the 5th and we're tied at 2... in the meantime, also in the 5th, the Netherlands are 3-1 ahead against Spain...

  17. Italy had to wait until the extra innings to close the match vs RSA... at least, in the 10th it was an explosion of our offense...they scored 6 unanswered runs and the game was over (thanks also to a spectacular triple play in the defensive half of the inning that sealed the deal)... final score, Italy b. South Africa 10-4 (after 10 innings) and tonight, the showdown against Israel (8 p.m. CET)
  18. Frank! and tomorrow it's gonna be an interesting revenge between him and Sidakov, who won a very close match against Burroughs just on the final second thanks only to the last point scored (the bout ended 3-3)...
