no, the format is quite simple... Run 1 = top 20 advance to the semifinals (in the men's K1 I think it's top 30), the others go to the second run (basically, a repechage run)... Run 2 = top 10 advance to the semifinals, the others are out... semifinals = single run, the top 10 advance to the final (in the men's K1 it should be the top 15)... final = single run, the top 3 get Gold, Silver and Bronze medal, respectively...
