If the IOC wants to take the cowardly approach and not historically distribute medals, because of their agendas, it's their problem. History can't be changed. There are enough historical documents, that show the legal successors of defunct states. The Baltic Republics keep their medals from the 20s and 30s, because they were independent countries back then. Afterwards they are occupied by Russia. They are no longer legal countries. Their athletes are willingly (or forcedly) competing for Russia, thus everything won is considered a Russian medal, until they again gain Independence as a separate country. It's funny how people still pretend, that the names "Soviet Union" and "Russia" are completely unconnected and one country didn't exist for 40 years and magically appeared from the 90s..

Yes, i am very happy for him. Looked very relieved after the match, as that was some serious battle. Lady luck covered him too, as the wrestler had the upper hand most of the match. Iran is the favorite in the final of course, but whatever happens it is a big success.
