  1. USA doesn't need to snatch weightlifting golds, they will get 60+ from the other sports.
  2. After 3 months UEFA have finally acknowledged, that there was a huge mistake in the Germany - Spain match and the Cucurella handball should have been a penalty Well la di da, that was evident for everyone and their blind dog, except for one fraud named Anthony Taylor and his helpers. Give that man more awards.
  3. As long as they are evenly spread out during the day and we don't get many events at the same time, i'm ok with whenever they schedule stuff. Though i would have presumed biathlon would be in a more late afternoon spot, 6 pm-ish, with alpine skiing and cross-country being in the morning / early afternoon spots. Antholz has lights right? , though now that i think of it, the World Cup is always during the day there.
  4. BULGARIA SEVI - On My Own I was debating whether to go again with a more ethnic song, but ultimately decided to choose a more understandable one this time (and with replayability ) SEVI was founded in 2010 by Svetlana Bliznakova (vocalist and songwriter) and Rali Velinov (bassist and songwriter). Their name translated from Latvian means "Be Yourself" and many of the bands lyrics are for being confident and true to yourself. Sadly they aren't that well known in Bulgaria, but rather outside of our country. They have opened concerts for Europe, Nightwish and Disturbed. But in the last month or so, they started getting a bigger notoriety here after the news of them being shortlisted for a potential Grammy nomination next year (with a different song of course). So decided to introduce them to a few people more Song lyrics:
  5. Bologna's debut in the CL starts with a saved penalty from Skorupski I'd wish they have more Italians playing, but that's the nature in all of Europe sadly.
  6. Nice DIA is amazing indeed. I was actually thinking about choosing another song from her.
  7. I haven't seen any major bad decisions from Eliasch or Lappartient, when it comes to FIS or UCI, so would actually be OK, if they got the win. Though that seems very unlikely currently. Coe and Watanabe will be by far the worst choices. Coventry would be a better choice, but i'm not that confident in her to not go off the rails. Samaranch Jr and Al Hussein are a mystery to me, so not sure what to expect.
  8. I have finally chosen a song and will post it either tonight, or tomorrow, depending when i have time
  9. Is anyone else tired of the constant bitching and moaning from players about the "tough calendar", especially from the lordy English league + Real Madrid. How about earning some of those hugely overpriced salaries you get. How about getting rid of the useless League Cup, that still for some reason exist on the British isles. How about reducing the leagues to 34 matches. There shouldn't be a top European league with more than 18 teams. I prefer having the ECC in their newer format and a Club World Cup every 4 years (for which not every team is even qualifying), than additional 4 league games, that bring nothing new (plus additional playoffs somewhere). Domestic leagues should start in September and end early May, to fit a longer break, if the players health is concerned.
  10. A list of proposals, that each candidate has suggested would be appreciated (if there are any so far)
  11. Have you read anything about IWF changing the weights yet again... Nasar did an interview recently about LA and he mentioned that they could be shuffling them and 89 to become either 94 or 85.
  12. Even with the expanded field, China are still not able to smell a WC qualification. That Japan match was embarrassing.
  13. San Marino for 2026 WC!
  14. As usual the Open contest is harder to decide what to choose. And not because i don't have 10 songs lined-up, but because most of them are BG specific, weird, not Totallympics style or just hard to explain to foreigners.
  15. I'm as traditional and anti-Super League as anyone you can get, but i'm optimistic about the new format. For one it's still totally opposite of what the Super League wants to be. We don't have a closed league with 30+ matches in a season and you also depend on the domestic leagues to qualify. Also, as good as the old group stage format was, the last few years it became very double sided in my view. In the 2000s and early 2010s it was much more interesting, when the teams were more equal in strength and surprises happened. But in the past few years, with all the money involved the gap is widening between the elite 10 teams and the rest. And we usually got 2-3 really strong groups, where some teams got screwed and then we had 5 rather easy groups, with the big teams there had a cruise to the knockout stage, where after 3 matches it was virtually known what the final standing will be. Now in the new format, where the knockout bracket is fixed by the positions in the league, there will be intrigue till the end i reckon. Plus with only 1 match between teams, there is a higher chance for a smaller team to upset a bigger one. If you have Man City - Sparta in 2 matches, you definitely know City are winning at minimum 1 of them. But in only 1 round, if they miss to beat Sparta, then lose to team 2 and have another draw with a smaller team, then their position in the table is affected much more serious. I also really like, that after the league phase, we don't get teams dropping to the lower competitions. I have enough of teams like Barcelona or Man Utd phoning and moaning, when they drop to the Europa League. If you don't make the knockouts you are out, done.. The one thing i definitely don't like about the switch is that they gave 2 of the extra spots again to the top Nations with this bogus "best country coef. in a year" spot. They should have given them to the Q nations. The top 5 leagues have enough teams already.
  16. Only matchday 1 has matches on Thursday and we don't have Europa League that night. The start of the EL is the week after.
  17. I always have 2 thoughts, when it comes time for the Paralympics: - when you have few people competing, does this mean you have a rather healthy nation and it's a good thing, that you don't have many people with disabilities, or - when you have few people competing, it shows the country neglecting these people and not having a support system to encourage people with disabilities to become para-athletes.
  18. The new draw and format of the CL was interesting, though i feel some teams got an easier draw, than others.
  19. I think Poland getting a silver wasn't a surprise to anyone, compared to the Nation, that actually won the relay, which was..... Australia
  20. Off-topic, but people should try Brave browser, if they haven't. It automatically blocks adds (and those cookies pop-ups) without the need to install an ad blocker. It works on YouTube as well and you can listen to it even with on a locked phone.
  21. Is Sinner losing on purpose, so he goes away until this whole doping situation cools off?
  22. It's been 40-50 years, but the Boogeyman is still kicking high for Westerners.
