  1. Teams going to the second round take ALL their points from the first round or just the points won against the other 'secondroundteams'? However, this system is ridiculous. But it's the FIVB ...
  2. Dutch boats performed pretty good. 4 teams (Olympic boats) directly to the semis, only the M4x to the repechages. Tomorrow 4 other chances (W8, M8, W2x, W4-)!

  4. http://www.volleybalkrant.nl/nieuwsbericht/15992/gepubliceerde-kwalificatieproces-tokio-2020-onjuist
  5. And furthermore: in my opinion Turkey has a great chance to host the qualifier, because their coach Guidetti is in the technical commission that advices (or even decides) how the qualification process goes and where the qualification tournaments will be played.
  6. It would reduce the chances of The Netherlands as well, because Serbia and Russia are the highest European teams (and after the WCH these two countries will be still the best two, because they both participated in the 2015 World Cup and gained a lot of points). FIVB is stupid!!!
  7. In Dutch media today there was an article about the qualification process. FIVB still not decided what to do. It seems there is an alternative qualification process in which 6 teams will qualify in the first Olympic Qualification tournament (12 teams) and 5 through continental Championships.
  8. A very, very, very bad performance of the Dutch team against Norway today. After the European title we never reached the high level of that tournament. Now we will miss the Worlds and Olympics, because I think Denmark for sure has a better team.
  9. In The Netherlands ticket sale is not open yet, but I really hope to get the following tickets: -Gymnastics: women's balance beam final (see you there ;-)) -Track cycling: men's teamsprint -BMX: finals -Judo: -70 kg women -Volleyball/Handball/Waterpolo: any game on the womens side with Netherlands (if they qualifie) Will be an expensive holiday, but really want to go to an Olympics for the fifth time (after Torino, Vancouver, London and Pyeongchang)
  10. Netherlands already did for the Women's tournament
  11. qualified RSX Men, RSX Women, Finn, 49er FX and Laser Radial. That's 5 boats. Or did the Women's 470 also qualify?
  12. Two world champions for Holland in about 20 minutes. First Lilian de Geus in Women's RSX and then Dorian van Rijsselberghe in the men's RSX. WOW!!! Both men and women still have to sail the medalrace
  13. A Dutch medal in diving . It's not a long way anymore before we will win medals in badminton, canoeing and wrestling for example.
  14. No quota for in the Women's 470. What happened, they are European Champions and 4th at the Rio Olympics? They only had 6 or 7 races? Hopefully we will win a medal at this World Championships. Laser Radial isn't going as well as expected.
  15. What a disaster for Mathieu van der Poel. Like all other Dutch sporters today (athletics, swimming, sailing, softball) a very bad performance.
  16. Absolutely true, but don't forget Vigier. I think he will be on the sprint podium at the Olympics with Kenny and Botticher. Maybe the Dutch still have a chance for a medal in the teamsprint.
  17. Netherlands deserved to win!! Numbers 1 and 16 of this tournament in the final
  18. You're right!! Well, not in Europe, but from 2008 to 2011 at Olympic and World level.
  19. Unfortunately she isn't, but Femke Heemskerk was pretty good. And Kira Toussaint , I like her mentality. After all the gold medals in the 4x100 freestyle relay, today's silver is a little bit a disappointment ...
  20. Is it now 1vs4, 2vs3 for the final spots? Or 1vs8, 2vs7 and so on? Good ride from the Dutch!
  21. Dutch team in big trouble ... from 4-0 now 4-5 down
  22. Ai ... no good balance beam for the Dutch team. Olympic champion Sanne Wevers only 13.366, hopefully she qualifies for the final anyway. Teamresult behind Belgium at the moment, so it will be close to reach the teamfinal.
  23. Such a shame The Netherland doesn't have a team in this discipline. With all the talented (time trial)riders, we should have a team. Unfortunately Van Vleuten and Vos won't compete at the track anymore.
  24. Really? You're joking right? Not even a substitute as fourth rider?
