    Visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia are once again required to be quarantined upon entering Croatia. Should have been done days ago. Imports from these nations are pretty much responsible for the current rise in numbers.

    While I am not a fan of all those (newly created, mixed) team events being added just to fill the void, there are definitely some team events in individual sports which have built up quite a reputation (artistic gymnastics, equestrian, fencing). These are far from just adding up individual scores.

    They want 7 (!) events in table tennis?? Team events need to go. Replace them with M/W doubles if you will. Team events made some sense back when there was a round robin format in 2008, but since 2012 they have basically been ridiculous. As much as 16 players go to the Olympics to lose one doubles bout within the Round of 16 team match. Those representing Australia and the US have zero hope of anything more. Total waste of quotas.

    From what I understand, users will be asked to send all their group stage preferences at once, before anytihng starts. Something to consider if you are in a tight spot, scheduling-wise.
