  1. Also, places like Italy and Spain relaxed their measures too. And yet nobody's numbers went off the charts (and even to record highs!) just a month later like it did in the US.
  2. To be honest, you needn't go any further than common sense. Washington saw the largest protests in 50 years. Ergo the virus went rampant.
  3. Pretty sure you can find scholarly work which suggests the contrary. The virus can spread even when you are wearing masks and keeping distance, so at that point it all turns into grey area. Staying at home and keeping social distance undoubtedly helps though. My point being, just because someone is fighting for a cause, that doesn't make them any less prone to making poor judgements regarding the spread of the virus. These protests will likely cause hundreds if not thousands of lost lives.
  4. 55k new cases in the US yesterday, compared to 20k/day rate from few weeks ago. So much for BLM protestors being all perfect, fighting for the cause and protecting the public's health all at the same time.
  5. Elections coming up in Croatia Sunday. People positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to vote.
  6. Welp, among other things, she is the last survivor of the four leads from Gone With the Wind.
  7. Dame Olivia de Havilland turned 104 today.
  8. Anyone seen 365 Days (aka Citizen Kane of our generation)?
  9. On today's menu we have a short documentary (in German) on Josef Neckermann. Arguably one of the most intriguing athletes in the Olympic history.
  10. Apparently some new virus is coming from China (again, duh)? Swine flu. H1N1-20, if you will.
  11. Coming up next: Los Angeles becomes firemen-free zone.
  12. Yeah, at this point I believe it's more likely that the Olympic Games will not be held at all (remember, another postponement has already been ruled out as an option). And even if they are held, they will prove to be disasterous for all kinds of reasons...
  13. To be fair, I think we should at least know which users have joined this contest. If anything, to help our resident recruiters.
  14. Hearing this for the first time in a WHILE...
  15. @hckosice will like the first one.
  16. I take that back. Clearly the most ridiculous thing in the film is UK hosting an edition.
  17. Just started the Eurovision film and oh boy, it already went of rails. Rachel McAdams is basically playing some 55 year old singer, living with her mother or something...? The whole timeline is a total mess.
  18. Nicolas Wagner wins the first post-lockdown Grand Prix competition with 73.413%...
  19. But teenage years end at 20 though.
  20. Meh... They are making too big of a deal out of this. Maybe like 10 people tested positive in total from this event. By the way, Ivanišević tested only today, following two previous negative tests. This means he was not infectious while the event wad being held.
  21. 10 years since the longest tennis match. You know, that time when those two guys pretended to be oh so tied.
  22. Oh boy. 95 new cases today. Record since April 1st. April 1st is actually the record, with 96 cases... Only this time there will not be a lockdown at all by the looks of things. Maybe only a fine for people going around without masks.
  23. You can find everything here. http://www.nt-turnierorganisation.de/schedule-and-timetable-cdi-cdi-w-cdio-hu-mariakalknok-25-28-06-2020/
