  1. Also, Mytilineou now sits in 4th place going into the individual final.
  2. Well, after years of disappointments and near-misses, Switzerland takes the team gold in Riesenbeck. European Championships are turning into a bit of a redemption series at this point... 2017 - 2019 - 2021 -
  3. To be fair, they already made a comeback for the 2019 TOISC. We saw it coming.
  4. Meanwhile, France, GB, Netherlands, Italy continue their string of poor results. As in, not even close to the team podium anymore.
  5. And Switzerland moves into the team lead. Can it really be? (Knowing their history, they will screw it up.) Mytilineou moves into the individual top 10. @Makedonas
  6. But also a depth of horses that some of the top riders have. Meanwhile, the dressage Europeans will effectivelly be a replay of Tokyo.
  7. Cape Verdean runner got proposed by her guide after her heat.
  8. Swedish, German, Swiss domination on Day 1. They are the medal favorites, but I bet one of them will find a way to screw it up (hello Switzerland). Nice (and fast!) Clear rounds for Zvara and Mytilineou. Curious to see if they can keep this up.
  9. I'll assume you haven't seen Another Round then... Most politicans are permanently drunk as it is.
  10. Pretty historic result for us. Not the best ever, however Latica Medvešek has been elected GK MVP of the tournament. Maybe, just maybe, our women's team is finally stepping to a new level.
  11. This is an entirely different point. Big names can get away with mistakes. Well, based on the individual scores from earlier days, it was obvious that the competition was going to be close. So underscoring the Dutch was quite enough to change the gold medal winner. Sanne Voets for example was the last to go in the entire competition, and Leitch'a conservative input there singlehandedly lowered the Dutch final score by over 0.5 pts... Plus her score for Pearson raised the British score by about 0.7 pts. So looking only at scores where Leitch's input was either the highest or the lowest, she made a net gain of over 2 pts in favor of GB...
  12. Apparently Flueckiger got mad at Schurter for riskily overtaking his team mate in the sprint for gold.
  13. Average of all five*. The only exception comes when one judge's mark is 6% or more away from average of the other four. Still that leaves a room for abuse as exemplified by Leitch...
  14. I guess by the assumption that they are the masters of this event and shall remain undefeated for all times.
  15. And more to the fact, this was just the most blatant robbery I have ever seen. Sophie Wells somehow improved on her previous score despite a large mistake in counter canter, and near-lateral walk. "Disgusting", as some would say.
  16. Meanwhile, all is well in the world of para-dressage. Even though they were beatable since Rio, the British Paralympic record remains unbeaten thanks to the masterful effort of certain Sarah LEITCH in underscoring Dutch riders. No, this is not sensationalism. Excluding her input, the Dutch would have scored 1.491% more (230.740), which would easily be enough for the gold medal... https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/paralympic-games/resPG2020-/pdf/PG2020-/EQU/PG2020-_EQU_C73(D)A_EQUODRESTEAM05050-----------------.pdf
  17. With magic shoes, no record in surprising anymore.
  18. Seems like an attempt to make the women's game look more open...
  19. Uhm... There are sirens going all around the equestrian arena and a big cloud of smoke appearing in the background...
  20. World Championships for the 7-year-olds may not be the most accurate indicator for senior results, but still, this is some German-esque presence for Denmark. @Agger https://reitturniere-live.de/2021/verden/c07_pdf_result.pdf
  21. What a test and what a reaction for Snikus! Hope it proved to be enough for a medal.
  22. Maybe he will try for the refugee team.
  23. Way to go after the historic team qualification. I guess Egypt will revert back to sending Karim Elzoghby every time on an over-competed horse, just to achieve a participation...
  24. Ah, the classic "We deserve no punishment for murder/rape/robbery/-insert-criminal-activity- because there are other murderers/rapists/robbers/-insert-criminal-activity- who got away with it." defense.
