  1. I guess you guys made it official? Fine, I pick .
  2. 96. je zapravo. Bez šanse. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/v2/quota/allocation/owg/sb/2022?gender=M&event=SS-BA&page=2
  3. I think (hope) it will be fine. I got assuring words from the host after sending my votes a week or so ago.
  4. Now here is another idea for the Team Challenge format, based on @Olympian1010's sports climbing proposal from earlier. 11 teams of 3 + 1 team of 4* * - 3 members to count in each phase (either the best 3 or the predetermined 3 for each phase) Phase 1 - Speed (Votes 1-12) Teams "race" to have all their members in points as soon as possible. The team whose all 3 members get points the earliest secures 1 point, the second fastest team to get fully on board gets 2 points, and so on. Should two or more teams have all their members in points after the same vote, a tie-breaker would apply (TBD). Example Phase 2 - Bouldering (Votes 13-25) Teams are ranked according to the number of 12 points scored during this phase, followed by a number of 11 points scored, then 10 points, and so on. Sort of like a medal table, but basically the same way climbers are ranked according to the number of tops, followed by the number of zones reached. Phase 3 - Lead (Votes 26-37) Teams are ranked according to the total number of points scored during this phase. Final results are determined by multiplying the points scored during the three phases above. The team with the lowest final result wins. Too contrived?
  5. You are being unrealistic. IIHF removing a global player like China was never going to happen. Heck, the Chinese market had enough power to bring back NHL players. Even if China was guaranteed to lose 200:0 every match, nobody still would have dared to take anything away from them. As one sided as it will be, USA vs China as a tournament opener will for sure draw a lot of attention.
  6. Trenutno i nema nekih aktivnosti.
  7. Based on user activity, I think it's safe to say that everyone has voted up to this point. As for the Team Challenge, how about having large teams (5 teams of 6, 1 team of 7, best 5 or 6 scores to count)? Still any format can be applied, however this will save us from having a spare nation with a complicated role.
  8. Because we need two triathlons. This one also featuring some weird fencing and some cheesy wannabe biathlon sections. Not to mention how cycling never was and never will be a military-associated activity. This sport is done.
  9. Are they going to call it modern triathlon then?
  10. Everything is fine. These are just the mail-in ballots we are waiting for.
  11. Okay, what's the catch here? This is too good to be truth.
  12. Tim Price & Falco lead the Pau 5* after cross-country, but perhaps the main story of the event so far are Padraig McCarthy and Fallulah who sit 2nd. Less than a pole behind Price, McCarthy might just be able to earn the first Irish 5* win since 1965... In other news, Joao Oliva won the CDI4* Grand Prix in Oldenburg, Germany, becoming the first Brazilian ever to win a 4* competition. Due to some footing controversy, several riders withdrew, but history is history, and this is a big one for Brazil.
  13. She has come a long way for once a mass start specialist...
  14. Kimiko Date is apparently not very (if at all) impressed by Osaka's media issues.
  15. Our athletes were not in China. This actually gives me hope that they are already prepping for the qualifications in North America. By far the easiest qualification route.
  16. Admittedly, our athletes have raised their level in this sport, especially the girls (Aščić did a great job to advance from the preliminaries as the next fastest skater). Still, the Olympic qualification will only happen with some Bradbury-esque outcomes.
  17. In terms of sending their votes in time (and based on user activity), Colombia and Moldova are in the iffy category right now.
  18. Not to forget how incredibly unfair the format with A and B groups is. Except for the rank order bias playing against them, the athletes from group B are also not expected to win medals, so it becomes easier than ever for the judges to put them in a certain ladder, as it happens with judged sports. Ladders are not a problem by default. Athletes should be grouped according to their level. The main problem is when athletes get stuck in a ladder even though their level has improved (or worsened).
  19. Can you even move wearing this...
  20. Well, there are 3 days left to cast your votes. It would interesting to know the voting progress.
  21. It was a busy weekends as the main part of the season unfolds... Western European League - Stage 1 (Herning, DEN) Cathrine Dufour (Atterupgaards Cassidy) - 87.115% Carina Cassoe Krueth (Heiline's Danciera) - 86.395% Dinja van Liere (Hermes) - 84.360% Full results... North American League - Stage 2 (Ocala, FL) Ashley Holzer (Havanna) - 76.480% Codi Harrison (Katholt's Bossco) - 75.040% Pablo Gomez Molina (Ulieses de Ymas) - 73.605% Full results... North American League - Stage 3 (Thermal, CA) Jan Ebeling (Indeed) - 71.065% Missy Gilliland (Toledano XXXI) - 66.555% Central European League - Stage 18 (Zakrzow, POL) Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (Ferdinand) - 78.780% Kristy Oatley (du Soleil) - 77.575% Timna Zach (Farant) - 77.530% Full results... Really excellent scores for the two Lithuanian girls in Zakrzow on their 8 year old horses... Heck, Sysojeva scored nearly 75% !! At this rate, Lithuania will be looking to qualify in both dressage and eventing for the next Olympics. Maybe even a full team in dressage is in the cards. Insane.
  22. Will there be any update(s) on how many have voted?
  23. Feels like BBC and Co. did enough to turn away the awards from Jacobs.
  24. 19th place for Jugovac. Low score as expected, but there were lots of fallers out there. Looks like she might seriously Swaney her way to the Olympics.
  25. Yes. Some changes will likely happen next month, but I don't think it will be anything substantial.
