  1. Say hello to the scumbag of Tokyo 2020. https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/athletics/athlete-profile-n1408926-zarco-alvarez-ivan.htm Barcelona-born marathon runner representing Honduras. Who got selected for a universality spot after paying another athlete to run under his name to achieve a respectable time - and getting away with it.
  2. Terrible TV directing. What's the point of showing those fancy underwater shots when the judges are only looking at what they can see from above and through the water?
  3. Because the draw is set after the seeding and can not be changed. Starikova took over the top seed part of the draw once she defeated Friedrich.
  4. I feel like most Canadian medals are some relay/team silvers and bronzes, which at the same time have zero chance of becoming golds. Women's football team finally stopped that if for a moment.
  5. Overall the second best Olympics for us - Rio 2016 was never under threat - but scarily bad last week. Aside for Tin Srbić getting the horizontal bar silver, and Matea Parlov Koštro claiming 21st place in marathon, everything else can be classified under (major) disappointment. I hope we never have to witness full two weeks of the Olympics in that fashion. Anyways, we complete with 3-3-2. I kind of like all our medals, but I guess my absolute favorites are Mektić/Pavić and Čilić/Dodig going head to head in the doubles gold medal match, Damir Martin inventing a single sculls bronze in a super human sprint, and Matea Jelić stealing the gold from the Brit within last 12 seconds of the bout. Toni Kanaet's bronze feels pretty special too since I had very little belief in him before every match. It's definitely one of the performances I am going to rewatch soon.
  6. As should anyone who can recognize association fallacy.
  7. is not impressed.
  8. Gold for India? Never mind then. I understand now why Totallympics is crashing...
  9. WHAT A FINISH FROM PEDER That was 'all in'.
  10. Sweden now leads by 0.39. What drama.
  11. Henrik almost jumps into a decoration. USA leads by 0.67 secs.
  12. By the way, the jump-off will feature only one rider per team. Not a team format at all. EDIT: Looks like this is wrong. They will use all three after all.
  13. Not tired one bit. Some vibes. For me this is the most suspicious gold seen at these Games.
  14. Not really youth. Similar format created this eternal classic which is still mentioned now and again these days... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equestrian_at_the_1948_Summer_Olympics_–_Team_jumping
  15. Bronze for Belgium. Their first equestrian medal since Montreal 1976.
  16. Leprevost I honestly did not see them jumping clear and winning gold. Leprevost has had a pretty poor week. But what a cruel end.
  17. Get ready for another classic vs jump-off! Tryon was a thriller to say the least.
  18. Belgium A year too late...
  19. Hassan outsprinted Schippers there.
  20. Argentina completes on 49. Mission accomplished!
  21. Interestingly, she also set a big NR when she competed in the 5000 m in Rio. Amazing athlete.
  22. Gold for Niyonsaba?
