    After Canada won 30 golds in the first week it looked like we would definitely see them break their non-home gold medal record of 47. Now they need 7 more today and tomorrow and it'll likely be close. There's still some good chances in canoe/kayak, athletics, breaking and sailing and maybe fencing, rugby, bowling, squash, and table tennis. Was counting on trampoline but after seeing them yesterday I think a medal in any of the 4 events would be an achievement.

    The Canadian breakers kind of got screwed by having both the boys and girls in the same group to face each other. Nonetheless, 3/4 of them safely made the quarters, with Phil Wizard looking like the favourite on the boys side and honestly either of the girls capable of snagging the gold. But I'm also an old man who knows nothing about this sport.

    At least we're beating the Americans in field hockey.

    Out of 5 individual Canadian trampoline routines so far, they have fallen off the trampoline 4 times....

    Canada also getting their asses handed to them by the US in fencing. It's so frustrating, because Canada is good at the same sports as the US, but obviously the US is always better.

    After two rounds in golf, Papineau is in 2nd on the men's side while Sharp is in 3rd tied for second on the women's side. I didn't notice the actual scores!

    CAN-USA tied in softball in the 3rd inning!

    Huge comeback for Schnell in the first match of the men's team squash game. Down 0-2 in sets, comes back to win 3-2 (and dominates set 5)!

    Women's squash team will earn at least a bronze as they go to the semis.

    Just 7 more golds to tie the non-home record. It'll be fun seeing if they can get there.

    Did Kuebeck withdraw from wrestling? Her name is no longer on the schedule and on the bracket there's a Venezuelan coming from her bye.

    Kate Current also has the 3rd fastest entry time for the 1500, so there's hope there. The interesting thing about the CAN/USA softball game is that it's the back half of a double-header for the USA (pretty dumb scheduling). I have faith our Canoe/Kayakers will bring home some gold tomorrow.
