The site says this. It still seems to me that Canada should be ahead of the USA then. I don't get it. Most wins (or win ratio). Head-to-head comparison (only taking wins into account, and only to determine standings in the pool). Most points scored on average per game (without considering winning scores of forfeits). For the purpose of standings calculation, a maximum of 21 points per game can be taken into consideration.

Because CHN, AZB and FRA all finished with 2 points with the same situation (they all beat each other). But China has the most points and finished ahead of them.

Maybe you can explain this to me, @Josh The site says 3.USA 4.CAN 5.AUS 6.CHN But USA lost to AUS, AUS lost to CAN, and CAN lost to USA. So then shouldn't it go on total points? Canada has the most.

Interesting. We'll see how Liendo is after his final. Kind of strange to have Liendo on butterfly and Maggie on freestyle, but I'm sure the numbers make sense. And if Liendo does do well in the final, he'll be hyped up.

France beats Australia! I think that's big because it probably means Canada will face Azerbaijan instead of the USA in the play-in (if USA beats China next game). Edit: Actually, I'm not sure. If USA wins they would have 4 wins along with Canada and Australia, but they all beat each other so I'm not sure what the tie breaker is (points? if it's points, Canada wins the tie breaker).

If I have the tie-breakers worked out here in 3x3, and I'm sure I don't... I think we want France to beat AUS so Canada finishes 3rd. But I'm not sure it makes much difference.

That's what's so frustrating. They could have easily won their first game yesterday but instead took impossible shots when easier ones were available and blew the late lead. It just seems like they try to hard sometimes.

Aaaaaaanyway, Olsen got 14.400 on her vaults in the team event. If she can replicate that, or even bring it up a touch, she's in the mix for the medals. And we'll see what Ellie can do, too.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Canadian athletes (as a whole) have some mental block and have a hard time succeeding under pressure. It's been years if not decades. It's why we get so many 4th/5ths. Look at our medals now, half of them are surprises while favourites underperform. Summer is doing great, though!
