  1. Good for Brazil, at least. I think the issue is also the fact that everything is done so early. Even on the busier days during the week everything was done by prime time, not leaving much to watch on those days, either. For example, I've never seen swimming finals take place so early, they were done by what, 5pm?
  2. Saturday late afternoon and only tennis medals left.
  3. And 40 seconds in Frascadore loses his bout. Silver. Aaaaaand that does it for Canada today.
  4. Yeah, I brought this up the other day. No athletics, swimming or gymnastics over the middle weekend (besides race walk and open water). Only 9 medal events on the middle Saturday, and 5 are in Judo, 3 in tennis and 1 in baseball. Meaning there's no races or artistic medals, and they all depend on drawn out games/programs. Nothing against any of those sports, they're cool on their own, but a weekend needs more excitement. Even tomorrow, with more medals, there's still no big events. Judo/Canoe Slalom take half the medals and the rest are mostly team sports (with the race walking and open water and road race). Absolute terrible scheduling. Disappointing, as others said I have all weekend to watch, but there's not much of interest (and why does everything end so early?)
  5. Yeah, another head scratcher. Canada would wind up 3 or 4 laps before the sprint lap, and then relax on the sprint lap and let everyone pass them. Timing of their tags were very strange, too.
  6. The only word I can think of watching Canada in this race is BAFFLING.
  7. Jesus, Chile beats Canada on the line in the sprints every. single. time.
  8. Well, this one wasn't their fault. But I'm still confused by their strategy here. Let's just allow Mexico to lap and not even challenge. Bold strategy, Cotton!
  9. Aaaaaaaand Canada crashes again in the Madison. Hope everyone is okay.
  10. Oh well. I honestly feel like Canada outplayed Brazil, but every time they were on a roll they shot themselves in the foot.
  11. Mexico moves ahead of Canada again, with another guaranteed gold on its way for them later today. Canada better step up in some of these events today.
  12. Aaaaaaand Canada crashes in the Keirin. Hope she's ok. Edit: Madison, not Keirin.
  13. Canadian men Baldoni and Rivard qualify 1st and 6th, respectively, in canoe slalom. Canadian women Betteridge, Baldoni and Maheu qualify 3rd, 4th and 7th, respectively.
  14. Both Canadian sprinters qualified in 2nd and failed to medal...
  15. So, Orban is out again. 2nd in qualifying, terrible races I guess.
  16. Thanks, that makes more sense. It's so confusing on the site. I made an account there finally, thanks again.
  17. I don't understand what's going on on cycling (cannot find video). On the site it says Wammes won his semi-final, but then it has him in the bronze medal race (and losing to the Colombian).
  18. I actually live in Guatemala now and some of the people here are very upset over this. The country just went through some civil unrest earlier this month due to some corruption in government, and the people are getting really sick of it. It's so sad that the athletes have to pay for the corruption of the government.
  19. Ozer's mark was also a PanAmerican Games record, too! And if I understand the scoring, which I don't, his score here would have been good enough for a silver in Tokyo.
