  1. That's why boxing and weightlifting should be worried
  2. Indian TV money beats that...
  3. Athletics - Men's Long Jump I can't go against a man who won it 4 times in a row although I can't say I like his personality, but Carl Lewis gets my vote. Beamon's performance was fantastic but the doubt over the wind reading for his jump has to be noted. Swimming - Men's 200m Individual Medley Phelps, 4 wins. Nothing more to be said Table Tennis - Women's Singles Always vote for China in table tennis. Badminton - Women's Doubles I go for the 2 time champions... Badminton - Mixed Doubles Tempted to go for the 1972 demonstration champions from but since they were not an option, the 2016 gold medalists were totally dominant.
  4. I think a 6-8 team tournament might creep under the quota. And I don't think it hurts that India pays a lot less for rights to show the Olympics than other countries of the same stature. Olympic cricket = $$$$

  6. The Australians of beating the English-Australians of Ireland at half time Can anyone think of a Lebanese team doing well in a team sport before today?
  7. Dietrich Mateschitz, the founder of the Red Bull group of companies, has died aged 78.
  8. England are officially the first team to qualify for the quarter finals
  9. Solid win for over
  10. Still think was better
  11. Personally I'm waiting for to have someone competing in this...
  12. As long as nobody knows the rules then nobody can criticize the judging
  13. Are there any rules for judging it this time? I remember that at the Youth Olympics it was basically "Which do you like best? The one going first or the one going second?" and that's how they decided who won
  14. Australia batting badly and suffering some bad luck...
  15. The British public have spoken....
  16. What's ?
  17. This is what English Wikipedia says about it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roxadustat. At the moment, I'd say this doesn't look good for her.
  18. Yes. It's a perfectly reasonable argument that has a 0% chance of being successful
  19. Oh, I'd be so tempted to give myself a stupidly long and meaningless name just so the commentators had to mention it all the time. "Great move by Albuquerque Slim, the Miniature Goat Terminating Tyrant of North Korean Whicker Basket Craftmanship there..."
  20. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1129450/world-breaking-championships-preview
  21. "A group of Iranian soccer and sports personalities" with the assistance of the law firm Ruiz-Herta and Crespo of Valencia, Spain
  22. A formal request has been sent to FIFA to suspend Iran’s Football Federation with immediate effect, and therefore effectively ban them from the 2022 World Cup.
