    Road to Bratislava/Košice

    Exhibition Games

    April 17th, 2019

    (23 Days to Go)-

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Czech Republic - Germany  5-4

    Denmark - Sweden  2-3

These minor teams have really improved. The Czechs have barely beaten Austria twice and now Germany. And Denmark here too.

Do we know if Britain have played any games against Championship teams yet?

I can guess running in mud or things like that :d

what's underwater hockey :lol: whenever you think you "know" all existing sports, another new sport "happens"  :d

That’s actually a legitimate, established sport, underwater hockey. There’s an official high school league in New Zealand where I went to school. It’s interesting, but not too fun to watch :p

We would certainly have a handful of people celebrating here too, like you saw in France. A large majority would either be sad or quiet, like you saw in France.

Judging by the number of Facebook reactions it was more than a handful...

    Can you explain ?

In the comments you saw people wishing there were people inside the Church when it burned. And if you’re happy about Notre Dame’s destruction you are happy about the destruction of French culture.

No one in France is watching France 24...

That I didn’t know. Is it like what Russia Today is to Russia in that it’s aimed at foreigners? Nevertheless, still disturbing.

  6. @heywoodu @Agger These are people in France who hate France. They want the culture to be destroyed, many were also wishing for more deaths. While I agree with the point about Syria the amount of rejoicing sickens me. We will never have this problem in the Czech Republic because we don’t have Islamic immigration.

This competition format is a joke. It is nearly impossible to move up from Group B to Group A. The top 5 will surely remain the same for some time.

I wrote the IIHF about this and they basically said it's because the women's teams apparently WISHED for a strong and less strong group. (I'm sure the US and Canada have too much influence).

    Should be him, yes.

Haha no idea, but I noticed it too, well, it looks like a too much work there to control the eligibility of their players  anyway really sad for Kyrgyzstan, I was cheering for them :(

It looks they agreed to play this match after all, but Titov is notnoticed in the line-up anymore..however nothing will change in fact UAE is the promoted team because of head to head result with Hong Kong and KGZ will finish last even if they win tonight in regulation time since they lost by forfeit their H2H game with Kuwait

Yeah.. :( I guess Kyrgyzstan will be back with a vengeance. Really looking forward to seeing how Turkmenistan will do. They have actually never lost an official game before. EVER.

    Oh and:  http://www.onlajny.com/match/index/date/2019-04-06/id/263549 :cheer:

Aleksandr Titov of :KGZ was disaqualified resulting in forfeiting all :KGZ  games.

Meaning Kyrgyzstan in a second became from a strong contender for gold and promotion after winning all matches by huge margin to a disqualified team finishing with 0 points by losing all 5 matches 0-5 by forfeit

    lol

Wow. Was it this guy? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Titov_(ice_hockey)

Also what is it with all these post-Soviet republics and eligibility issues lol. Armenia did it and got suspended, and Georgia got DQ'd once too.
