  1. Could someone please tell me why this is an olympic event? It is certainly more competitive than luge relay for example, but aren't they basically just adding the results of the individual events, in the sense that you get a team medal on top of all the individual medals you win.
  2. Thanks! So is Dahlmeier now officially the second best biathlete ever?
  3. Is this the first time ever that an athlete won both the sprint and the pursuit at the olympics? I think so. I just looked at past results and saw that Elena Khrustaleva from Kazakhstan won silver in the individual in 2010, i have to say i am very surprised.
  4. I beg your pardon ... ? "Most of their medals"? We would probably have to win less than 20 medals for that being the case, i hope you're wrong.
  5. No, but i am annoyed by the fact that whenever i want to watch videos on their homepage, they always play the same commercial, i think it's VISA or MasterCard. I get that they have to play commercials and i am even willing to switch off my Adblocker, but why do they have to play the same commercial all the time?
  6. Heart-warming to see Kuzmina remembering her roots, just disgusting that IOC officials took the chance from her to celebrate with her brother.
  7. 2 more things: - Very happy for Gerald Hönig, he said he never forgot about the desaster in Sochi, so the results here must be a huge relief for him - Makarainen, Wierer and Domracheva deserve at least a medal given the season so far. I demand the following results: Mixed relay: Gold for Italy Individual: Gold for Makarainen Mass start: Gold for Domracheva Thanks!
  8. Even better would have been "Alm-Air" (probably only german speaking people will understand it).
  9. Considering that we see new events in almost every sport, why not introduce a double pursuit, a pursuit based on the results of the pursuit?
  10. Wow, what a genius new creation! Dahlm-Air!
  11. Congrats to all the medallists (even Kuzmina)! This is it with watching biathlon for me. Sad that Herrmann didn't win a medal here, the last shot again ... Maybe this was her only chance, doubtful whether she will make any relay.
  12. Certainly! Most german people agree as well. Gössner also was more exciting (in every sense of the way).
  13. I agree, this is pure luck. I think this will be the last biathlon shooting i will ever watch. With her speed, Kuzmina can't lose a medal now, please just don't let it be gold. I would prefer Dahlmeier and Kuzmina both not winning a medal over Dahlmeier winning gold and Kuzmina winning silver.
  14. Kuzmina's speed is beyond ridiculous, she looks like Mühlegg on drugs. Not surprised that a no-name like Cadurisch turns up at the olympics out of nowhere.
  15. Didn't watch the final, was it a fair competition? Results look a bit odd (for example Gasser being so far back)
  16. I hate this! Athletes train for 4 years and then everything is decided by luck. I don't know much about korean weather, but does this really come completely unexpected?
  17. This is Germany's only gold medal chance today, so no pressure for Dahlmeier ...
  18. Haha great story, if this would have happened back in 2014, officials probably would have put him in jail.
  19. I agree, it's hard to get an olympic feeling when everything is potsponed or takes place at the same time. For me there is basically 3-4 hourse of olympics every day, which is sad, considering that for example during the London olympics i watched every day from roughly 8 am to about 10 pm.
  20. Bold predicition considering the conditions, i think it will be a complete mess, none of the athletes who won a medal in sprint will win a medal.
  21. Yes, it's really boring, no african athletes here. Algeria is very good in running but not in cross-country, why?
  22. I agree, sports like nordic combined, aerials or especially women's ice hockey are much more in danger.
  23. Like i said before: Eliminate bob/luge/skeleton and ski jumping/nordic combined from the olympics, then the costs would go down massively.
  24. Yeah, it's stupid to build a track for only one event, i doubt that Korea will have a use for that facility, the same is true for ski jumping.
  25. 13- At least one medal event will be postponed to another day. [YES - Men's downhill] 32- The athlete leading the Men's Skiathlon at half-point will eventually win it. [NO] 49- Germany will win all 4 Gold Medals. [NO]
