Congrats to all the medallists (even Kuzmina)! This is it with watching biathlon for me. Sad that Herrmann didn't win a medal here, the last shot again ... Maybe this was her only chance, doubtful whether she will make any relay.

I agree, this is pure luck. I think this will be the last biathlon shooting i will ever watch. With her speed, Kuzmina can't lose a medal now, please just don't let it be gold. I would prefer Dahlmeier and Kuzmina both not winning a medal over Dahlmeier winning gold and Kuzmina winning silver.

Kuzmina's speed is beyond ridiculous, she looks like Mühlegg on drugs. Not surprised that a no-name like Cadurisch turns up at the olympics out of nowhere.

I hate this! Athletes train for 4 years and then everything is decided by luck. I don't know much about korean weather, but does this really come completely unexpected?

I agree, it's hard to get an olympic feeling when everything is potsponed or takes place at the same time. For me there is basically 3-4 hourse of olympics every day, which is sad, considering that for example during the London olympics i watched every day from roughly 8 am to about 10 pm. -
Bold predicition considering the conditions, i think it will be a complete mess, none of the athletes who won a medal in sprint will win a medal.

I agree, sports like nordic combined, aerials or especially women's ice hockey are much more in danger. -
Like i said before: Eliminate bob/luge/skeleton and ski jumping/nordic combined from the olympics, then the costs would go down massively.

Yeah, it's stupid to build a track for only one event, i doubt that Korea will have a use for that facility, the same is true for ski jumping.

Tactical loss from Loch to shut up the people who want to eliminate luge from the olympics? For me this sport, as well as bob and skeleton and probably ski jumping/nordic combined should still be eliminated, way too expensive.

What do you mean? Him choking in the last run or him not winning in general? Before 2010 olympics he won 1 world cup, before 2014 olympics he won 5 world cups, before this olympics he won 3 world cups, i don't really see much of a trend to be honest.

Loch already has 3 olympics golds + will probably win another one here, so it is good that someone else got the chance to win a gold medal. We also have to keep in mind that it was completely his own fault, which makes it impossible to be angry about this result even from a german perspective.

Congrats! You got what you wanted and you were right that Loch is actually talentless and was only winning so much because of the material, it showed again today.
