  1. From Spain, the plan por mixed doubles are Nadal-Muguruza and Navarro-Ferrer.
  2. Genzebe Dibaba's coach, Jama Aden, has been arrested in an investigation about doping by the spanish police this morning. Acording to media, his athletes are passing a doping test by the IAAF and it's expected to be more arrestings.
  3. That next samoan win not gonna happen, guys
  4. I've been following all morning the Aiba live results, and during the match between spaniard Johan Orozco and a dude from Trinidad & Tobago, they take out the combat of the live result's without showing the last part, and now I have to wait ALL DAY to know what happens
  5. Still can't believe our boys defeat Ireland. Two matches to Rio, but is not gonna be easy
  6. If that happends, bronze medal for Lidia Valentín
  7. Any chance to reject men's quota? I think Spain is next on the line if that happens...
  8. De Gea playing for Spain, I'm so disgusted
  9. Yep. I think the second opcion is usefull to players like Pablo Carreño or Albert Ramos-Viñolas, who don't reach the minimum either.
  10. He can argue that he didn't reach it due to an injury or to a high internal-competition of the country.
  11. Looks like Kyrgyzstan athlete Ilya Tyapkin received an invitacion/quota place to compete at the olympics in the marathon as the only men athlete of his country, after missing qualifying time by just 00:00.19 seconds. http://www.eng.24.kg/sport/180469-news24.html Here, in russian: http://boorsok.ru/2016/05/legkoatlet-iz-kyrgyzstana-ilya-tyapkin-poluchil-litsenziyu-na-olimpiadu/
  12. Nope There was a Spain-Andorra alliances back in the day, and we used to receive at least one point from Grecee like every Eurovision (Acording to the spanish comentator, due to our former Queen been greek-born), but these days Spain has no insured votes
  13. No point from our neighbours. This started to feel like the original Eurovision
  14. WOW, thanks for all the votes. Specially Poland and Serbia. Not expecting that much to be honest.
  15. Nuria Fernandez just did 15:24.17 today in 5000 in the Huelva meeting. SO CLOSE. I can't believe Spain has now two athletes that there are not in times for Rio just for half a seacond in the same distance (Lidia Rodriguez 15:24.25 in 2015). And sadly there's no realocation in long dintance races. I hope both can reach the time in further races
  16. The spanish cycling federation announced that Spain has only one women's quota. But they were given two. I found this document ( http://www.uci.ch/mm/Document/News/News/17/63/67/Rio2016–WomenFinalSlotsAllocation04.05.2016_Neutral.pdf ) that said: "Slots Returned to UCI". This means that was the Spanish federation the one that decided to decline that quota? If someone can help me, please...
  17. Don't get the skateboarding thing. And not sure about the surf. I think IOC is lost triying to reach the youngers. For me, is like those 45 year old dads that try so hard to be cool in front of their sons friends and they just embarrassed them. Having already the BMX in the games, the easier and more logical thing is to add a couple of BMX Freestyle events, that trying to build a "new sport" in four year.
  18. Just read on twitter thet the boxing federation just acepted profesional boxers to compite in Rio 2016. Is that true? How are they going to do that, just three months ahead for Rio. Are they going to cut the preolimpic?
  19. Opening ceremony: Dont like the hats AT ALL. The rest, elegant and simple; works for me. Medal ceremony: Finally we can say goodbye to those HORRIFYING London clothes. Everyday clothes: All mixed: I'M IN LOVE with those grey/brown kinda jogger pants with the red jacket from the beggining of the photo.
  20. Josephine Onyia is on her way to the world record with a fifth positive test. She is the one athlete from Spain that tested positive in the re-tests of the 2008 olympic samples.
  21. They didn't compete because our backstroker (Duane da Rocha) was unable to attend Europeans due tu injury. But I don't think they would decline, since all swimmers are already qualifiyed in individual events to Rio...
  22. From what I read, Iceland is currently 5th in the women's medley, just behind Spain.
  23. Uau, Latvia's look really good. My favorites so far
  24. Tripartite invitacion in girl's boxing doesn't make any sense. It should be in the boys....
