  1. Timeline: Start working with a promising songwriter that's written Tom Dice's "Me and My Guitar" that took 6th place at Eurovision Choose from 18 different songs and fail to qualify stage 1 Try again with the same songwriter, get a few more songs, decline to sing "Run With The Lions", choose a song that's co-written with Michael Schulte Michael Schulte goes to Eurovision in his country, you drop out after last place in televote in the 2nd stage Decide it's time to participate with my own song (since it's less restrictive) "Run With The Lions" goes to Eurovision My life is a funny conundrum, but I'm not too hard on myself, since those selections are not as squeaky clean as they're trying to portray them.
  2. What do you know?? Perhaps I posted my expectations from 2018 and in 2019 my answer would be completely different and I wouldn't give a chance to Krupeckaitė?
  3. Athletics: (good chance) Andrius Gudžius Airinė Palšytė (has a chance) Agnė Šerkšnienė Liveta Jasiūnaitė Basketball & Canoeing Sprint have a chance for a medal as well, I guess Cycling Track perhaps Krupeckaitė could break the curse, but I doubt it Modern Pentathlon: Laura Asadauskaitė, Gintarė Venčkauskaitė, Justinas Kinderis all with a chance for a medal Rowing: We can win 4 medals, we can win 0 medals as well, depends on a lot of factors Swimming: Danas Rapšys, Rūta Meilutytė with a solid chance, Giedrius Titenis, Andrius Šidlauskas, Simonas Bilis with a chance Fighting sports: We usually score a medal during Olympics in one of the following: judo, boxing or wrestling All in all, I'd expect 1 medal from athletics, 1 from pentathlon, 2 from rowing, 2 from swimming, so probably 6 medals. If I'd go the optimistic route, we could go for 10.
  4. Didn't think my Youtube was followed that closely December was a hell month for me I had gigs every other day plus I was also trying to save my Eurovision participation since a lot of unpleasant things happened there On top of that, the views were nothing to brag about, so I focused my attention towards other areas. Sidenote: I actually planned a different song for TISC, but didn't release it in time.
  5. Damn it, I feel left out I wanna raid Kazakhstan too, I bet they have legendary loot
  6. Oh yeah, forgot to ask. Vishnevskaya is back in the sprint race tomorrow?? I thought she was still under investigation
  7. Okay, I guess there's no time like the present to announce the Lithuanian song for this competition. LITHUANIA Gebrasy - Acceptance Lyrics: And you might think That I'm a stone that has no feelings But I'm hiding them from you And isn't it obvious? The way I look into your eyes That I wanted my love for you, I do... Every time when I'm feeling vulnerable Step back, step back, don't come any closer It's hard to keep my hands off you I just wanted to say If we played poker you would lose on sight Cause you're one of a kind It's a relation where the ship won't sail Cause you won't be mine I know, it’s not your fault that I’m not content with what you’re giving I visited your house, ignorance is the place you live in And we’re gonna keep it that way And you don’t realise How valuable you are to me And that I wanted my love for you, I do… Every time when I’m feeling vulnerable Step back, step back, don’t come any closer It’s hard to keep my hands off you I just wanted to say If we played poker you would lose on sight Cause you’re one of a kind It’s a relation where the ship won’t sail Cause you won’t be mine I know, it’s not your fault that I’m not content with what you’re giving I visited your house, ignorance is the place you live in And we’re gonna keep it that way Cause you wouldn’t feel the same Okay, it’s not your fault that I’m not content with what you’re giving I visited your house, ignorance is the place you live in And we’re gonna keep it that way, oh ooh And we're gonna keep it that way
  8. To the people saying that JTB is going to run away with the golds, Ostersund is one of his worst venues. Watch out for Peiffer, I have a hunch that the sprint gold is going to Germany.
  9. That's why I'm the one to welcome you
  10. Welcome to the LAPPED bus, we hope you enjoy your stay
  11. My top 3 is top 3, feels like a trap
  12. Honestly, if I had a 4th pick for the prediction, I would have went for Sweden.
  13. Oh, after some searching I found the article. Well, that's sad. Another athlete with a huge potential gone, especially in the winter sports scene Well, her career was rather tragic though. A lot of injuries, a lot of disagreements with the federation (they highly opposed her training abroad) and I'm certain there's a lot more stuff that never went public. I thought she was trying to come back after her latest injury, but she gave up after that final one. With no news on Salvijus for a long time, I'm wondering how he's doing and if he's training at all.
  14. I see, so Agnė Sereikaitė has not fixed her injuries as of yet and Salvijus Ramanauskas is possibly out with injuries as well
  15. On the topic of no information, @heywoodu . I think I'd have a higher chance to find out what's going to happen to me in the following ten years of my life, than finding out if anybody from Lithuania is actually participating in these championships
  16. I wonder when will smaller teams (as well as with other less popular sports) eventually understand that regularly posting and informing their fans on what's going on is eventually going to lead them to more people being interested? At the end of the day, people wanna know shit. For example, I used to write my LLAF buddies or athletes that I know to find out when athletics competitions are starting in my hometown. Eventually, they're becoming better at that, but it only helps the people that are actively looking. The problem of empty stands during competitions is actually reaching the people that are not interested and to make them interested. Playing "Guess your World Championships team" is not a game that many people want to play, but our biathlon page is updated once a year it seems, because in the active athlete section we have retired ones and those that came back out of retirement are nowhere to be seen
  17. I correctly guessed our team, all of the seven biathletes that I mentioned by name
  18. More than ten Polish users in this forum, I'm pretty sure that @rybak shouldn't be the only one that has any interest in music I'm an OG that remembers the days when Poland had a massive jury, if rybak is MIA, someone could join up to keep the perfect attendance for Poland.
  19. Well, as always, the Lithuanian biathlon team is not announced. Good thing we're small and I have some connections Tomas Kaukėnas, Vytautas Strolia, Karol Dombrovski, Gabrielė Leščinskaitė and Natalija Kočergina have already travelled to Ostersund. I assume that Linas Banys will join the team after his races in Sjusjoen to form the men's relay. There are still four athletes that technically could make an appearance, but I highly doubt that we'll see them, unless perhaps Ana Jesipionok will travel together with Linas to start in a race or two.
  20. Well, I definitely went all out in my biathlon prediction, it's gonna be rather bold, but statistics and performance based as well. Although this might backfire on me a lot more compared to my past predictions.
