  1. So, Longboard, as you said, the board is longer But there are different tricks and different ways to rate the surfers on the waves. For example, there is a maneuver where the surfers put all the fingers of their feet outside of the board. This counts a lot for juries. Stand Up Surf is basically the same of shortboard, but they use paddle. Stand Up Race is just a race
  2. There are 4 disciplines. Shortboard, Longboard, Stand up Race, and Stand up Surf
  3. Costa Rica have a good chance on women's side with Leilani. The men are all of them on repechage. Panama have a surfer on main round 4, amazing performance so far. El Salvador the best surfer is Bryan Perez, but, if I am not wrong, all surfers are in repechage rounds... Nicaragua has two sisters still fighting for quota, and it is a big surprise for me. Candelaria on main round 4 and Valentina on repechage round 4.
  4. Angelo Bonomelli is out. I was betting in him to get one quota. He was the third best european surfer on ISA 2019. He still can get it, if Fedrerico Morais and Leon Glatzer qualify in El Salvador
  5. Only repechage rounds scheduled for today. We may have some surfers confirming their quotas from 2019 and favorites getting out of it.
  6. Sure, I think she will qualify on her heat. She will face Spencer from , Rosas and Lopez Peruvian has a provisional quota and Spencer can't get it. But the american is one of the best surfer performances imo so far.
  7. Round 4 also defined for women Those countries are the closest to quotas so far
  8. Yeah, thanks! this system is always a mess in my mind
  9. Yeah, third place on his heat... now he goes to round repechage 3.
  10. It is a pity that the girl from will miss the games
  11. Does anyone know what they are going to do with the quotas from World Championship?
  12. Round 4 defined for men. are still on main round and close to the quotas. is the favorite to get at least one quota so far. 2 surfers on this round and if Shun Murakami qualifies again, Rio Waida will take it.
  13. No, she and Vahine (if she competes) need to get first or second in all repechage rounds, otherwise they will be eliminated.
  14. For women, there are 6 main round and 10 repechage round before the final.
  15. @Benolympique Cannelle Bulard competed on first heat of repechage round 1 and won this heat.
  16. btw, ISA is accelerating the competition at main round... today we will have the surfers advancing to ROUND 4! already. So, who already lost in any heat will have a marathon on next days. So far, those are countries closest to Olympic quotas, but no one was eliminated yet, so everything is possible. Men Women
  17. Pauline has a very difficult heat against Leticia and Ornela two of my favorites. And the biggest surprise so far imo Candelaria Resano She had a free pass on round 2, competing only against one surfer... as Brisa and Tatiana gave up of the event.
  18. I wouldnt say favourable draw... Marcela is being a big contender so far on this event, and Yolanda has some of the best scores on the competition. But Claire is by far the best chance of Italy at women's side. As for, the chilean girl, I remember your post on ISA 2019 haha, I was going to tag you here soon.
  19. Probably WS realized the mess that it would be a skateboarder qualifying after these last events, only adding points from NCH, and decided to just cut off this possobility. As usual WS is a mess to inform their decisions, having an idea, they havent announced the cancellation of Park Worlds yet. We know that only through other medias. But, good to Denmark and Rune, congrats!
  20. Yes, as far as I know, only marathon and 50km race walk close today.
  21. https://www.surfscores.com/ESA/2021/isawsg/#
  22. Tatiana Weston-Webb and Gabriel Medina decided to get out of this event
  23. @MHSN How many Brazilians will qualify? 3?
  24. It was mandatory only for surfers coming from WCT. But it is a risk they don't take part on this event because they still can lose their spot. Actually Billy can not lose his quota anymore because there's no other male surfer from New Zealand. Ella still can lose it. Also, Bianca Buitendag from South Africa is safe.
