  1. National Championships Weekend coming up! has one of the strongest lineups for many years, but is restricted to the BBC which is usually tough for furriners to get into. UK Athletics Championships: British stars target World Championships spot on BBC - BBC Sport
  2. All of a sudden a large comfy blanket of common sense is suddenly descending upon the world of sport. World Athletics introduces one-time genetic test for athletes wanting to compete in female category for world ranking competitions - BBC Sport
  3. OK, so kind of the like the FISU games then, which pretty much represented the third string of our emerging talent.
  4. Ok, BBC have an updated story this morning but it is still useless. This does seem to be the very latest though - there's no chance of a helicopter getting to her and the only way is to send up a team of experienced mountaineers. That does not sound good at all. Laura Dahlmeier: Climbers attempt rescue of injured Olympian in Pakistan | Olympics News | Al Jazeera
  5. BBC seem more optimistic. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c4g627p4q0ko
  6. Bad news for fans of Team - neither UEFA nor CONCACAF are willing to accept them as members. For those new to the domestic league, looks like they use the system where teams are known after map references rather than towns. Frozen out: Greenland kicks off football's shortest season after international setback
  7. And a debut win for Oliver Knight on the Second Stage of the Tour de Wallonie yesterday!
  8. Pretty impressive considering that at the FISU Games yesterday we also did the Double Eights and the Women's Four! Strength in depth for sure.
  9. And van Aert gaps Pogačar! And that is it, Pogačar gives up the chase.
  10. Another day with "crash" written all over it. They've taken the final time already - but everyone has to cross the line to officially finish. None of the big names seem to be backing off. Pogačar is going for the win, but there has obviously been a peace treaty agreed in the White Jersey race, because this is the kind of finish Onley usually contests.
  11. Late flurry of medals from the Rowing boosts to a respectable total - 4G 8S 6B
  12. Fantastic Gold for Davronova in the TJ, huge 14.33 PB!
  13. Last day - just athletics and rowing finals to come.
  14. OK, this is probably more the Road to 32 or Road to 36, but plenty medals for Team GB at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Macedonia last week, Age Groups 16 to 18. 10 Gold in Badminton, Gymnastics and Swimming 7 Silver 5 Bronze SCHEDULE AND RESULTS – Skopje 2025 – Sport Europe
  15. In the BizarroWorld Athletics Championships we have here, both & are too slow to make the Men''s 4x100m final.
  16. Familiar feeling for us Brits. We invented, or at least codified, literally All The Sports yet now struggle to qualify for most of them.
  17. At the FISU Athletics today they had a mammoth 8 hour session of Quals & Decathlon. They got the whole live strean posted to their website within about 5-10 minutes of the session finishing.
  18. Peleton rolls home 8 minutes after Groves wins.......and still manage to crash
  19. v in the Women's Beach Volleyball heads to Third Set, accompanied by German pop tunes. And take Gold, a proud achievement for a landlocked nation. Kind of like taking Gold in Alpine Skiing.
  20. Nasty cold & rainy day in the Jura, for no stupid accidents at this point. Already seeing some good riders having trouble holding wheels.
  21. As if to emphasize what a blunder his team made in the Giro, Del Toro has been absolutely tearing things up while the Tour has been on. Comfortable win in the Tour of Austria (on YT in English & German btw), another dominant win in Spain on Monday & gifted a win to his team-mate yesterday.
  22. Ok, as long as they don't make the classic mistake of plastering the results all over the same page they use to launch the videos.......
  23. Off we go with 14km to go.... Arensmen goes, no response from Tom & Jerry.
  24. Off we go, final climb..... Probably Lipowitz v Onley the only real battle. Cold and raining, perfect conditions. Also Gall v Roglič for fifth maybe.
  25. Revised route map. Just the two HC climbs now.
