    After his strenuous one event a day schedule over the last couple of days, Joe Biden takes today off. It’s not like there’s much happening out there. (“Call a lid” = no more events today) In fact, this is the eighth day this month he has done nothing in the afternoon or evening.

    The point is that he was reading both numbers off a teleprompter without understanding them. If any normal person made that mistake in speech they would correct themselves because they would immediately know it was ridiculous, but Biden just chatters happily on without a connection between brain & mouth.

If they had kept DML as a threat, they could have worked Pogučar over with the old 1-2 in the Alps this week. But as soon as they made it clear that only Roglič mattered, then all Pogučar had to do was follow his wheel.
